Wish we saw how things ended between Leonard and Stephanie. Unlike Raj's girlfriends, I actually like Stephanie's character and I think the show could have at least shown us how she exited it.

I mean, objectively speaking while Dr. Stephanie is quite cute (and a real doctor), Penny is a bonafide hottie.
The fact that she feels comfortable enough to sashay around the boys apartment in her undies (breasts legs and pert behind on display in bright hot pink eye catching attire, even if they are not the sexiest clothes they display her assets nicely), would be threatening to any woman.
In comparison, I know that when I am in my cutting phase (i.e. Taking my diet seriously as well as working out) and happen to talk to girls at the beach where I live, men are far quicker to assert their claim than when I spend a few months on deployment getting skinny/fat and farmer's tanned. Guys don't worry quite so much about the flabby guy chatting with their girls. I don't intentionally hit on taken women and have turned down two women that were married before you reach for your torches.
My point? We are naturally protective of what we have invested into if we perceive a threat to what we have invested into. If it were Amy Fara Fowler, I doubt Stephanie would be as concerned.
To be fair if a woman comes over my SO place in her pjs/underwear I would be questioning as well.

Leonard gets mad when Penny doesn’t say I love you back to him, he humiliates Penny for having superstitious beliefs like psychics, Leonard got super angry when Penny had her artist friend sleep over. He even went as far as stalking the guy and told lies about himself because of his jealousy. And finally and this is what makes Leonard partly pathetic is “he will say anything and do anything”

He would brag to everyone even going as far as forcing Penny to hold a newspaper up to take a picture of her and him just to prove they are together before he goes to comicon. @@feuervogel8998 lol no.... If you look at the fandom page of Stephanie Barnett was changing leonard which leonard didn’t like. He was making him wear pants that was super itchy and he was afraid that moving In (which was this episode) that freaked him out.
He broke up with her at the end of the episode via text message while eating at the cafeteria at the university, leonard said “I guess I’m nEver going to have sex again, then he got a text back from Stephanie and he said oops nevermind. Later in the subsequent seasons Stephanie is mentioned that his relationship with her was never really over as he has said, he has never broken up with anyone before. That suggest that she and him lost touch after awhile but never really broke off their relationship.
