I love that Sonia G always does comparisons with other brands and other shapes within her own collection. It's so clear that she wants consumers to be able to make wise purchasing decisions. Unlike SO many other brands in the beauty space, shes never trying to convince us to buy everything that she launches. What's even more compelling is that when she makes those comparisons, it becomes even more clear how unique each of her designs is, and I am constantly watching her brand with great interest and intrigue.

LOVE your analysis and comparisons,, dearest Alicia! As always so clear, great closeups and and all the angles. I FLOVE my Face One for bronzing/contouring...it's thick but slim enough to get right in there with precision and get the job done...then swipe along the edges of the face....I have the Rephr #22 / version of the Tom Ford, and i love its fluffiness but because of that not so much for bronzer- i want more specificity... this Niji Pro looks like a perfect balance between these two brushes...SIGH! Bravo, Sonia! And PS, Alicia - I love seeing product on your brushes..you USE THEM, baby!! They don't have to be super clean for me!! Also - which Shiseido loose powder is that???? xx

Hmmm this might be where my gift card sale credit is going...I use 2 brushes to achieve what this brush does with one. I generally use the 2 rephr bronzer brushes... the smaller one too place the product in a contour-ish type way then I go over it with the 22 to buff it out as a bronzer. I could do both with this one and I also have a few baked products that I don't reach for for the exact reason you mentioned 🤔 Comprehensive and informative as ever thanks Alicia 💓
Great video, very informative. I was able to pre-order this yesterday. I have the Tom Ford brush and I'm not a fan of it because it so big, this brush looks smaller and reminds me of a Mac brush that I have and use all the time. Love Sonia G can't wait to see what she comes out with next.

I LOVE this brush shape! I pre-ordered this through Beautylish since statistically her brushes sell out like immediately. I’m a fan of her brushes myself and have her entire line in my Fude Collection but it’s been a while since I’ve been this excited about one of her releases mainly because i wish she would start putting out some brushes with other hair types. I would love to see some squirrel or Fox hair choices. Especially in the eye department. There are only so many goat hair brushes one really needs. I know that will raise the cost of the brushes but for me personally that wouldn’t stop me from buying them. Until then I guess I will just enjoy the ones I already have. It’s been a while since I’ve used them so when the Niji shows I will put her series back in rotation.

So I'm looking for one that isn't flat persay but almost like a foundation brush (like the mini base) but for powder, how that one is not super firm but not super flimsy. Would appreciate it! Hey hey! Do you want it to be a Sonia brush? How about the face pro? Yes, the Mizuho CMP510 will be great for buffing in powder foundation. Or the cheek brush that’s flat on both sides will be great for blush and bronzer. The Rephr 05 could be an option!
I have a several of Sonia G face brushes on my shopping list but they’ve been out of stock for what seems like forever…that’s my only gripe. This one looks really interesting, especially with how it picks up baked gellee because those are the types of brushes I’ve been looking for and struggling to find.

Hey there! I would probably go with the Master Face: the Niji I think will pick up too much of the mineralize powder since it’s a softer texture. The Master Face will pick up a moderate amount, and round surface area will have more blown out effect on the blend.

What do you think of the difference between the Wayne holiday brush vs the new Sonia brush? You said more tightly packed? Which would pick up product better? I know the Wayne is more precise which I like, but which would you suggest?
The smaller one with the black handle? Because I know he also released the one with a white handle. Regardless, Sonia’s brush will have superior pick up, and a stronger blend.

Y’all…. I need help!!! I’ve always ALWAYS buffed my finishing powders with a super packed dense brush, this beautiful niji is at my limit when it comes to dense and packed bristles , it’s on the "lighter" for me, it has almost too much give … your girl buffes with brushes that are considered for "foundation " lol, you know those super flat or round brushes packed to the max like the big koyudo fupa, the chikuhodo t3 , or the gsn5 … am I doing it all wrong and that’s why I don’t look like an airbrushed goddess like Alicia ?? Help sisters I’m lost in the sauce . If the brush isn’t densely packed enough I don’t feel like the powder is being worked into my skin, I use circular motions to hide my ugly pores and I feel like I need heavy duty stuff like I’m about to mount an ikea wardrobe and I need all the help I can get
I would suggest using the Jordan Liberty technique. After primer or moisturizer if you don’t use primer, put a layer of setting powder with a powder puff pressing the powder into your pores. Then put foundation on and so forth. Then set again the same way as before using puff and pressing in. Then do your blush highlight etc and at the end then use a brush to buff and finish. Hope it helps!

No worries! The Niji can be used only with powder, and Chikuhodo is another Fude brand. Sonia loves their brushes, as well ☺️

Y’all…. I need help!!! I’ve always ALWAYS buffed my finishing powders with a super packed dense brush, this beautiful niji is at my limit when it comes to dense and packed bristles , it’s on the "lighter" for me, it has almost too much give … your girl buffes with brushes that are considered for "foundation " lol, you know those super flat or round brushes packed to the max like the big koyudo fupa, the chikuhodo t3 , or the gsn5 … am I doing it all wrong and that’s why I don’t look like an airbrushed goddess like Alicia ?? Help sisters I’m lost in the sauce .
If the brush isn’t densely packed enough I don’t feel like the powder is being worked into my skin, I use circular motions to hide my ugly pores and I feel like I need heavy duty stuff like I’m about to mount an ikea wardrobe and I need all the help I can get
I would suggest using the Jordan Liberty technique. After primer or moisturizer if you don’t use primer, put a layer of setting powder with a powder puff pressing the powder into your pores. Then put foundation on and so forth. Then set again the same way as before using puff and pressing in. Then do your blush highlight etc and at the end then use a brush to buff and finish. Hope it helps!
