Mental Omega APYR (Almost Perfect Yuri's Revenge), often shortened as Mental Omega or MO, is a free unofficial expansion pack for Command & Conquer Red Alert 2 Yuri's Revenge. First released in 2005, the mod started off as a balance modification created by Speeder and Mevitar, who would later grow into the Mentalmeisters team. After a few years, the mod had grown into a de facto unofficial sequel, with version 3.3 adding a new faction - the Foehn Revolt.
Mental Omega APYR uses the Ares Expansion DLL which allows new features to be added into the gameplay by adding new units and rebalancing existing ones, making the mod almost completely different than the original Yuri's Revenge and more suitable for multiplayer gameplay, which is the mod's aim to make it perfectly balanced (hence why the mod is tagged as an "Almost Perfect Yuri's Revenge")..
Mental Omega APYR features new campaigns for the Allies, Soviets, and Yuri, continuing from where Command & Conquer: Red Alert left off and branches into an alternate, expanded universe which spans over 80 missions divided into two different acts related to two stages of the game's story: the Soviet invasion to the United States and the war against Yuri. Cooperative modes for 2 players are also available.
Mental Omega APYR also features the addition of hundreds of new skirmish maps and a variety of game modes, which makes both skirmish, network and multiplayer games a lot more fun to play. Multiplayer is primarily played through the CnCNet, although Tunngle and XWIS are also compatible. In addition, each faction has an extensive list of unique soundtracks, composed by Frank Klepacki, Black Ice 9 and World Beyond. - Hry

@CM HW I don't know about it but at the Third great war, Yuri forged an alliance with a terrorist group known as Scorpion Cell. And he with Rashidi, the leader of Scorpion Cell developed their own tech and arsenal . In the last moments of the Third Great War, Yuri finally declared the founding of the Epsilon Army and his forces went into hiding for two years, in preparation for Yuri's grand ambitions.
The AI in this game is so brutal.
Brutal Scorpion Cell is the huge pain in the arse... unless you play Foehn especially Coronia

Use Drakuv on early stages of the game for "stoling" enemy units (Like GI's) and don't forget about tower which can indicate enemy spy's more easily.

Hammer is a tier 3 and long range defense, it's useful against armor unit
It’s also entirely useless because of the AI spamming paradrops into your base, which makes it start smashing apart your own buildings.
Against players it is superfluous since games don’t last long enough for that to be available.

Allies in MO are difficult enemies at early games coz of their Siege Cadres are pain to deal with
In Mental Omega Skirmish Mode which is originally no Starting Units plus, getting these Soundtrack that by Frank Klepacki, Black Ice 9 & World Beyond for the Mental Omega are strongly recommended if you want to play that mod game in other words it also has certain music from 'Machine Collide' by Frank Klepacki to 'Land of No Justice' by World Beyond for example when the Final Mission begins in the Mental Omega Campaign but it also can play original one if getting one of these Soundtrack & activating the Global Soundtrack you can play both original Red Alert 2 & Yuri's Revenge Music & Mental Omega Music for Allies, Soviet, Epsilon & Foehn alike
Never played this mod before, but seeing the USA has grand cannon was a wow movement. and winning against a hard AI seems a lot harder than the OG version.

Put walls in front of Tesla/Prism Towers, it keeps them in the fight for longer while also protecting the Tesla Troopers from other initial attacks.
Not safe from Rocketeers, Foxtrots or Dyubbuk Evolvers, and Thor Gunships

How do i download? I know its on moddb but I can't even get my origin version of yuris revenge to work.
Download both the main file and the patch if you want to. Then simply open the zip folders and extract the files to your RA2YR folder click yes to everything and you are done. To play the mod you need to open the MO launcher not the vanilla RA launcher. Also note that you need to extract the main file first before extracting the patch files other wise the patch files will be over written by the pre patch files

How can i play this?
Men there is a sensor tower and it can see spy and informs you if it it's in it range and there is another sense tower on other sides. Spy ina allied is normal but you have sabatour on soviet side and another on epsilon (Youri) and Fohen revlot faction. Another advice is heroes. The hero is very powerful like Volkow and comrade dogow in duet they are unstopopable from Earth
or destroy bridges if possible
Zoom much better if you use thw hero and merge with overload
Nuclear missile nerf and kirov nerf also but you can explore more OP TANK and INFANTRY but i recommend to you use FOEHN FACTION
Use Overcharge too buff Tesla Cruiser also it will buff tesla trooper and Volkov more stronger. Tesla cruiser suck in anti building

Ok i see that you use drakunov wehicle and you propably don't know what it is doing. This is spawning drakunov close to field bureau and it converts enemy infantry to your infantry

Hey, if you can do what i did - just copy past ur Red Alert 2 Yuri's revenge folder, and install MO in the new folder. Like that, 100% your original red alert 2 will be fine

You build well m8 but you dont atack well at all.. took your tanks left em to die to air planes.. took your 3 Kirov and didnt hit anything.. CTRL the ground and take out whateva you can .. and ..where s the bloody Apocalypse tanks in this mod?:) You got the upperhand cause you threw in Atomic bomb ..1 click wonder..rofl:) ..also ..the speed of the game is stupid .. i ve never played RTS games on fastforward
i agree about everything, but even though he didn't really do that great in this video try watching his YR vids, but his attacks are indeed 'not well' since he could just make six kirovs and yeet them at the allied base, unless stuff has been nerfed in mental omega, since i have only been playing yuri's revenge.

Apocs are a secret unit you need to infiltrate a Soviet MCV and War Factory to get in Mental Omega (this mod). You can't build them otherwise. Kirovs got nerfed as well I believe.

While I applaud giving back some of the most iconic units to their factions, this mod is way too overdeveloped. You don't need tiers of defenses, multiple MBT, defense upgrades, spies and stolen tech for every faction, overspecialized units, etc. to have an effective and balanced RTS. Sometimes less is more, and this mod is way over its head with feature creep.
I would like to disagree with you on this one my friend this is what command and conquer should have been when it was released

if you give everyone same special features..what makes each faction unique then? France had the big cannons ..not USA.. And rusian factions not having Apocalipse tanks when all the allied factions have the best ranged tanks like prism tanks makes this mod bad .. i atack you with an army of prism tanks and there s nothing you can do ..you dont have the muscle to come to my face ..
@@83glacius in this mod prism tanks got nerfed big time . They only do damage to buildings if they are targeting troops or tanks they do very little dmg just like how mirage tank damages buildings.
i prefer usual red alert 2 graphics than mental omega.

Because u can't spam Rhino tank like in vanilla to win right? U have to combine with this type of units with other type of units to win right? U have to use more strategy to win right? So this mod is trash right?
Stupid - this is when you can build a defense that destroys any number of attacking forces without any attention of the player, which does not work out here. Just one AI opponent makes you strain harder than 7 brutals in vanilla

There's another tier of defenses which can outrange some of the artillery in the game.
The unit in question was a siege unit (it even has "Siege" in its name)...
