- I helped a family today! Watch my sculpting process on how I hand sculpted their four dogs with polymer clay. They loved it! I hope this will encourage all of you to try sculpting and learn how to create your own pets at home.

Amazing😮
I have looked at many dog tutorials , yours are the best, they have so much personality
Thank you, Jessica.
They are absolutely gorgeous x I love Harley & Teddy & Gwinnie & Riley & Fernando, and all of the others xx
Thank you! They are really good people too.
I have no words! You are amazing!
Thank you! I am just really happy I made this couple joyful because their dogs are everything to them and they have so much compassion for animals and dogs.
Thanks for sharing your knowledge and great talent.
You killed me with that song ....hehehe. really nice choice, Portishead !
Thank you!
Joan, this is so wonderful. The sculpture is so beautiful and out of this world. But, but, but, your voice is so perfect. And, I love your music like crazy! Once again you made my Friday!
Thank you Rev. Leon. 😃 and I can compose you a music if you like :)
@@JoanCabarrusTheSingingSculptor Wow! What an honor that would be. But I would feel bad because you're busy enough already. Perhaps I can use some of the music you already did. On a different note, I so much love the sound of your voice. It's not just perfect pitch, I mean the very sound is lovely!!! Have you ever heard a song by Joni Mitchell called, "A Case of You"? It is from her second LP; Blue. I think you will love this song enough to want to sing it.
@@RevLeonPLeon I will check that out! Sure you can use my music. Only you. 😃 credit to my name.
@@JoanCabarrusTheSingingSculptor Of course! Praising credit!
Incredible!
Thank you!
Beautiful art work 😁❤🧡💛💚💙💜
Thank you!
Omg thank you so much for making this, I had a dig that is a shih tzu and I’ve been wanting to make something for him, and this video help a lot, ❤️
You are very welcome! I will make more of these in the future once I get settled to my new place. You’ll see more and hoping you’ll learn more.
It is a pleasure to watch you work. How many hours did this sculpture take to make from beginning the armature to the last coat of paint? Did you bake it? Which clay did you use? Thank you for sharing your talent and skill with us.
Thank you! This four dog sculpture took me about a week to create and film. If I will to work on this straight without filming it, it takes five days. Yes it was baked. Polymer clay needs baking to harden. I use polymer clay. I would love it if you try this craft!
Oh wait, let me recall... I took my time with this one so I couldn’t recall how long exactly it took. If I am to guess, with four realistic dog sculptures, approx. 8days.
I just purchased DIY Realistic Dog Sculptures 1. Can't wait to get it!
I really appreciate this a lot. Do you have a dog in mind that you are planning to make? 😃
@@JoanCabarrusTheSingingSculptor It's a long story but yes. My daughter got 3 foster kids that are distant relatives. We, of course, fell in love with them. It was difficult because they had been in like 7-9 foster homes and this was suppose to be their last one. It was about 2 weeks before the adoption was suppose to be final and CPS came and got them. They are a HORRIBLE organization. I hired a high dollar attorney and we're hoping to fight it but it may take everything we own. But he is considered the "Bulldog" Attorney for CPS battles. I want to make a bulldog for him. Sorry...I know it was a LOOOONG story. We've just got to do everything we possibly can to help these kids. I'm a woman of great faith, so prayer is really our only hope
@@dragosisters8548 oh my gosh that sounds so complicated!
oh my gosh how wonderfuly talented l have ordered book would love to know if have book on doing long haired dogs love your work
Hi Tyler! Thank you! I appreciate it a lot! Yes I am planning on writing the second DIY Realistic Dog Sculptures 2 this year. Things are changing and I may not be able to finish it right away due to relocation but I will start it slowly!
Oh.... I misses my ST furkid lots. How I wish I can sculpt her image ❤️👣🐾
Hi Jessie, when did you lose them? You could absolutely sculpt them and recreate their memories in a tangible form. This craft is actually easy to do especially with polymer clay. You can make mistakes a lot redo until you are happy with results.
@@JoanCabarrusTheSingingSculptor she left me and crossed over to the 🌈 Bridge on 18/4/2020 last year, it hurts lots n I still can't get over the grief of losing her 😭😭😭 i will try to learn to sculpt, but old lady with old hands might not be able to a good job 👣🐾
@@littlebug1956 ohhh…💝 yes please try. It may help you.

do you draw out a rough sketch of the build your planning on doing, or is it all in your head when you create?
just watched your vlog on this sculpt so that answered my question;)
I imagine how I want them to look like based on what the client asks me to do. If they are not sure what they want, I step in and give suggestions. Some of them are lenient to how I will make the piece because they trust my process. Some knows exactly what they want but sometimes, it's physically impossible for the sculpture or the size is inappropriate for their request. The only thing I measure is the length of their skeleton to have a consistent size for me but I don't measure anything else. That's the method I want to teach everyone. It's like I create my problems right from the start then I constantly solve them as I go. It's actually quite effective and fast. When I create them, they don't look the same with the pets. But with freedom to adjust, it becomes the same as the pet as I go along.
@@JoanCabarrusTheSingingSculptor ok thanks..i was just curious
@@artzpops yes please be curious a lot and ask me 😀 I’ll tell you why I do stuff.
@@JoanCabarrusTheSingingSculptor yes mam ;)
some of them look so angry xD
I am not seeing that. 😃
They always skip over the good part of doing the face….. like wtf 🤬
Hahah yeah. If I do that, the video will take a long time record and edit. I am not getting paid for any of that. :P
