Yeah, this only works with diet drinks that have aspartame, anything else and it's not gonna really do anything. The carbonation actually doesn't matter all that much. The fruit mentos will work but it has to dissolve the outer layer of the candy before it starts to react which makes it a delayed and not simultaneous reaction. Yeah so with either of those things not correct was going to make it not work right, but both meant it wasn't going to do much if anything.
I thought this video would show Mentos with a big balloon of Coke popping. Instead, it is water sports.

Normal coke bottles erupt so high because all of the bubbles are concentrated into the bottleneck. Because the square of glass was so open, it didn't go nearly as high since the coke had room to move.

he was the kid who played in the bathroom and mixed everything possible in the toilet: soap, toothpaste, shaving cream, mouthwash, perfume, etc
I did that once when I was about 8, in the sink. It was boiling and giving off smoke! As soon as I realized the smoke was stinging my eyes, I opened the drain. But who knows what I might have mixed to cause that?
Me and my cousin did that in the kitchen with condiments and stuff. Nothing smoked or exploded but it was gross.

Guys this is just awkward annoying iresetable because that dude is just making carbon dioxide and that is not science in any way making carbon dioxide and exploding, mentos.
And I think he is cooking instead of doing science cause who in the world would use vegetable oil to do science and put a bunch of ice cubes.

I already knew this was gonna be a bust when I saw he was using regular Coke and not Diet since Mythbusters already analyzed things determining that the lack of certain parts of he Coke formula affected the reaction and the constrictive shape of the bottle gave it awesome display. This guy just wasted my time with fancy fizzes.
