- I love making my own tools. Building a dead blow mallet is a rite of passage for many woodworkers. It's a straightforward weekend project that you can easily make from scraps, and super satisfying to use.

Nice. I made one of these about a year ago, but I didn't make it a deadblow. I think it's fitting that you've made yourself one. You seem worthy. :D
Thanks :) I actually made a not-dead-blow one a couple of years ago, which I used to help make this one. Formed it down from a raw piece of firewood. DIY mallets are the best mallets.
Sweet 👍🏻 👍🏻
Thank you! Cheers!
Nice little hammer! I could be wrong but I have a feeling my shop, tools and channel are very similar to yours. Keep creating! You've gained me as a sub!
Thanks so much! I took a look through your channel and I think you're right! I subscribed to you as well, can't wait to see what you keep making.
Thanks my new found friend!@@NineRingsWoodCraft
How much shot do you add per side? Just kinda curious about your preference.
I didn't measure exactly, but it was around a quarter of a pound per cavity, which seems to work well.
