I’m using 2 of these lenses on a ZF and they are superb quality and a real pleasure to use, I love the ‘look’ they afford my images, it really feels like ‘back to the future’ digital quality with film like rendering…treat yourself you won’t regret it!

Nice one! Yes,F Mount makes more sense - great on F-Mount film and Df, but still useable with adapter on Z... I can't help but think Nikon miss a trick by ignoring manual aperture lenses (kinda old news, but hey...). Surely Nikon could afford a Japan-made 'heritage' line of lenses and film cameras? Ironic that the ever sharper lenses have created an opportunity for third-party brands. But props to Voigtlander - some of their F-mount glass is definitely going to join my Grays (great shop!) bought Df, FM3a and FM2, filling some gaps in my pre-Ai collection.

Lots of focus on Zf, what about on others, e.g., Z6II? I would like to go back to manual lens, but don’t want to buy Chinese brand.

I own the Voigtländer 50mm APO and it's by far my favorite lens on my E-Mount bodies, even though it's only my second favorite focal length. The Nikon ℤ ƒ is the "fun" camera I currently want to get. Not too many megapixels like my R body with 60MP and just beautiful styling make it stand out to me. It would be such a great pairing with a Voigtländer lens. I'm probably going to get another 50 f/2 for the ℤ ƒ.

Outside of using a Leica m to Z adapter, I’d love to see voigtlander’s Z line be as filled as their m mount line is. We need a Z mount version of their 28mm f/1.5 Nokton! And something longer too. Maybe a 90mm? 105? And also a 21mm would be nice too.

I own the 50mm f1 Nokton and on the Zf it’s magic! Best images I’ve taken on Zf, I absolutely love this lens!

  • @fellowcitizen

Gosh, I wish that these lenses were in native L-mount with electronic contacts. It's ironic that Voigtlaender could probably never join the L Mount Alliance due to occupying the same role as Leica, yet this is where they belong.

  • @Dave_Andre

You should put time stamps with this type of video

  • @bobpollack6894

Not just Voightlander manual lenses, but Nikon manual Ais and Non-AIS should be used on the ZF. My plans when I Get myZF.

  • @rexgigout1472

I have not yet bought into the Nikon Z system, but, it is good to see that these lenses are available, and well-regarded as performing well. I have been using the M-mount versions of the 50mm APO Lanthar and Nokton 50mm f/1.0 on a Leica M10, and, on Nikon DSLRs, have used the 40mm f/2.8 SL II and the Nokton 58mm SL II. It is likely that I will acquire a Z camera, sooner or later, and the Zf is the most tempting of the Z bunch, yet…

  • @wayneyung1262

I bought the 35/2.0 APO and 50/2.0 APO 1.5 years ago. It's perfect matched with the Zf, superb picture quality.

  • @andreafranzius3189

Super overview on these character lenses, and it's always great to see the two of you! And thank you, Becky, for your perfect German pronounciation of Voigtländer as Fohgtlaender. 😊

  • @chrisbullock5488

I own the Voigtlander 15mm f4.5 I absolutely love it! Build quality, feel, aesthetics, and sharpness, color rendition, in my opinion, 10 out of 10! Super impressed, my first Voight lens!

  • @gletschertroll

I can only confirm what you are saying. I own a Nikon Zf and a Nikon Z8. The Z8 goes with all my Nikon glass - when want to be quick and as perfect as I can be. The only limitation is myself when using the 135 plena or the 105 macro, or the 50 1.8, etc. etc. But if I want to be playful and if I don't care if I'm going to have keepers or not: I take am Zf and either the 50 Noct 1.0 or the 35 APO 2.0. The 35 is quite easy to tame too - and she is producing very very nice images. The 50 1.0 on the ohter hand demands full concentration and extreme dedication. It can easily happen that there are very few keepers after a walk through the city. But if I nail it - then this camera delivers incredible images, second to none. Extremely beautiful. Note: I have not bought the 40 yet -- but I'm sure I will..... Thank you for your work - I love the format and I love your knowledgabel but still entertaining presentation.

  • @sfenwick

Hi Becky & Kon. Would love to see you both test the latest Voigtlander F-mount lenses on the ZF w/ a Nikon FTZ II adapter. It would be interesting to compare functionality and results to similar (though not comparable) Z-mount glass. I'm thinking the 40mm f/2 vs. the 40mm 1.2, the 55mm f/1.2 vs. the 50mm f/1, etc. Love what y'all do. Cheers from Chicago :)

  • @RobertFalconer1967

I've been hoping you'd showcase the dedicated Z Voigtländers like this. Great video, guys! ❤that 50mm f/1.0!

  • @jjmarz1001

They look gorgeous on the Zf body.

  • @willmorrison6650

Lenses to inspire you to go out and take photos!

  • @possiblybooger

I’ve been waiting for this view! Thank you.
