Celebrates 30 Years in London.
Jean Le Clerc has founded the Paris Rock Club 30 years ago, starting at the Kingsgate community centre, where the Woodwind played for our Saturday night parties.
Over the years we moved across London in venues such as:
the Nightingale Pub, The White Horse Pub, Oriel in Sloan Square, The Polish centre in Hammersmith, Notre Dame Hall in Leicester Square, The Red Lion in Brixton and at Waterloo Action Center since 1992.
Jean has been teaching Rock ’n’ Roll for all levels, from the two left feet complete beginner to the advanced level, starting with the basic steps, right to the impressive acrobatic air-steps.

As well as regular classes in the Paris Rock Club, Jean has brought the joy of Rock ’n’ Roll dancing to many students across London teaching in various places:
Teaching for the Savoy Hotel, City Lit, children in primary school, Heath Clubs, Community centres, Church halls…….
Privat class were also a big chunk of Jean’s diary.
Many couples have asked Jean to choreograph their first dance to their favourite song.
Jean also entertain and taught at hen parties and guests at weddings.

We had a lot of fun creating shows with enthusiastic students:
Royal Albert Hall, Imperial War Museum, Silver Jubilee in Bow, 14 July at the Lycée Francais and many more at the Paris Rock Club.
He’s Fashion and design diploma help Jean to create costumes for the shows and also to create 50’s garment for those who enjoy dressing up in a retro style. (Loupilou Design)
For 30 years the Paris Rock Club has organised Saturday nigh dance parties with Deejay “Bopping Dave” & Jean, known as the “Mad French Wolf”.
Bands who played over the years at the Club include The JIVE ACES, The VINTAGE, The BLAZIN’ ACES, The MEMPHIS FLYERS, The ALLEY CATS, The JETS, HOT SLAP, THE CHARGERS,………
The Paris Rock Club has become part of the UK rock ’n’ roll scene:
Jean and his students have enjoyed meeting fellow dancers and rockers driving in his 1959 blue sky “Peugeot” 203 at numerous festivals:
Skegness Rock ’n’ Roll weekender, Rhythm Riot Camber sands, Rockola in Canvey island, Jukebox Mania show, and in France in Lille Bethune, in Austria Joes’Castle, in USA Boston massacre and many more……..
During Covid start with stroll not to be too clothes Jean start teaching outside next the London Eye as well as Kennington park.
We also raised money for the Trinity Hospice for one of our students as well as Ukraine war.
