I had forgotten just how great P&P band was. That drummer..wow. And "4 Stix" of course kills. I recall now when I first saw their setlists back in the day, and always saw that they did all my favorite LZ cuts. I think in a way, P&P, and also when Page did the shows with the Black Crowes, had to be very fulfilling for Page. Because as a producer, arranger, writer he was always going to hear the full production in his head. But as phenomenal as LZ was, there had to be times when the songs weren't fully realized on stage. As quality and technology grew, he was able to reproduce studio cuts on stage. Too bad Bonham wasn't around.

Studio version, he goes F#,G and E. This one, he goes F#, then tries for and E again to give the solo a bit of a twist, but hits something around a D# (the half tone you don't like), then G, F, E. It's out of the tone (E), but I love these 'mistakes'. There's a lot of it in rock, blues, jazz, and a lot of other musical styles. I think saying "Gilmour is only a human" implying like it was just a plain error might be too much. If you play too, chances are you might like to hear these little 'dark notes' sometimes!
