I wish you would add a title slide description when you demonstrate the different sounds.

Can you please play smoother instead of hitting the keys? Seems dynamic playing is unknown to you sir. Not helpful..

I think this is an issue of "connotation" vs "denotation". There are several levels of this:
      1) Yamaha: uses the word exclusively to refer to 4 different lines of instruments, all of them having a real acoustic action.
      2) Kawai: uses the word in the sense of Yamaha, but adds another instrument, the CA99, because it has a wooden resonator constructed similarly to a soundboard. Not a real acoustic piano soundboard, but similar in design.
      3) Casio: uses the word in a different way than Yamaha or Kawai. For them, the GP series qualifies as "hybrid" because they use wooden keys similar to those found in an acoustic grand piano. They also imitate a grand piano mechanism with plastic hammers, whippen assembly, etc. Not a real grand piano mechanism, but behaves in a similar manner.
Although neither Casio nor Roland call their portable digital pianos "hybrid", they do refer to their plastic action with wooden veneer on the sides as "hybrid".
So, the connotation of the word typically implies instruments such as the Yamaha AvantGrand and Kawai Novus. But the word "hybrid", by its dictionary definition (denotation), means "something heterogeneous in origin or composition"... so, my DGX-670 is also a "hybrid" because it uses a grand piano red felt on the keys, so it has elements of the acoustic piano. 😁😁

@@Instrumental-Covers IMO this is a terable way to label a product because it givs a sence of confusion to the buyer. In that case might as whell call the Yamaha P515 a hybrid because it has partly wooden, and plastic keys🎹🎶

@@MERCEDES-BENZS600GUARD_V12 Well, the P515 would then be a "high end hybrid" because it uses solid wood for the white keys instead of thin wood veneers on the side. 🎵🎵

@@Instrumental-Covers ha, ha. I was thinking about the sensationalist description, and wondered what you guys would think of it. Sure enough, you're both here. But where is out friend Internet Privacy...? The four of us should have a beer together sometime if we're ever in the same part of the world.
