Oilers have to trade nurse and with next year draisailt bouchard and mcdavid contract we cant have 9 millions nurse when he should be paid 4 millions
RNH and Ceci to St. Louis for Parayko and 1.5 retained (Edmonton may have to throw in a draft pick). Sign Holloway and Broberg for 1.5 each.

And replace him with what right side defenseman who can play second pairing minutes? He might not be the best option but right now he is the only option.

@@Citadel1974 why bring in brown, carrick and back stecher to keep Ceci? You trade him and elevate Broberg as he played great with nurse it’s really a simple fix
@@austingullickson8529 I think Broberg will get there but if you have him out for 18-21 minutes a game on his off side you'll see evidence that has a lot to learn at the NHL level. Maybe he can succeed in that role but its not a straight forward decision.
Josh Brown and Stecher are options for the bottom pairing but I don't see them playing 2nd pairing. Connor Carrick is probably going to start in Bakersfield. (One of Brown or Stecher will be there too I think)
With Ceci - there's just not a lot of guys, at that cap hit who are right handed D and capable of playing that role. Puckpedia has 16 right shot D making 2.2 - 3.25m per year. Either they are not available or they're not an upgrade on Ceci. (though Jamie Drysdale is intriguing to me because his agent is Dave Gagner and he is ~$1m cheaper. Unfortunately he played limited games last year and had surgery in April so big question mark there...)
