I will not support a ban of BTS. BTS has served as UN spokesmen for their "love yourself" campaign, have made contributions to Black Lives Matter, and have given away thousands of dollar every year at their birthdays to schools, orphanages, and other needy groups. They have been credited with having a positive influence on the mental health of Gen Z individuals during the pandemic. I hope that dialogue about global issues is mature and focuses on effective solutions. It is better to address the accountability of all of us and influencing real change than to be clanging pots making noise.
who & why this BTS boycott???!!! what's their problem?
To those who discredit BTS as not being involved, or dealing with, social and societal issues, I suggest they check themselves and keep BTS' name out of their mouths until they research BTS' accomplishments on the issues that plague us all.
I don't think Idols and other Artists, or Sports Figures should be responsible for righting the wrongs of politicians, and they DEFINITELY don't deserve to be bullied and brow-beatem by people who are too lazy to do their research on what the Idols have done, voluntarily.
However, it raises the question: "WHAT HAVE THESE ENTITLED LOUDMOUTHS DONE TO RECTIFY THESE PROBLEMS OUR COUNTRIES ARE UNDERGOING?'
Don't put it all on the shoulders of people who are in the military (and are forbidden to respond), or who already work harder than any of you will EVER work.
Solving these issues is also for YOUR benefit, and the Idols are not your mummy and daddy to solve everything for you. YOU HAVE TO PUT IN WORK, TOO, and whining and pointing fingers IS NOT WORK. YOU are also accountable for the betterment of this planet.
TikTokers have a certain level of power, too. Instead of using your power to point fingers, why not galvanize your stans to do something useful AS A TEAM.
1. Letters to their politicians,
2. take out LARGE media ads stating the problems we need solutions to, and offering suggestions on how to go about it (this will require THOUGHT and ORGANIZATIONAL SKILLS. Laziness and "passing the buck" not acceptable;
3. Look at what students and adults are doing, globally, to make themselves seen and heard;
4. Protest (non-violently)
It's best to get media attention, first, if you live in a country where this might be dangerous....
Governments are trying to eliminate or gag TikTok, so by doing something YOURSELVES that could benefit humanity and stay relevant, maybe these governments may (finally?) have respect for you, or stop viewing you as an Unnecessary Evil.
Are subscribers that you may lose for not being as Cool as you think you are more important than the lives you may save? WHAT DO YOU FEAR that makes you want to throw others in front of you as shields, instead of getting YOUR hands dirty?
...and Btw, HEROISM IS COOL. Do you have the cajones to Be One?
Power in Numbers, and Global attention aside, are you serious, or just playing at being socially conscious, while using celebrities' names for likes and subscriptions?
I second this. They have contributed to many worthwhile humanitarian efforts, both publically as BTS and personally as private individuals. They are a very kind and conscientious group of young men. Do not throw stones at them because you’d like to bring attention to yourselves by using their name negatively. Especially while they are currently serving their country in their private and personal time. I respect them, and they respect the world around us all.

Are these Tik Tokers serious. First off, no ARMY is going to boycott BTS. Secondly, how are they supposed to respond to any world issues as they are serving enlistment. They are not permitted to do anything regarding their jobs while in the military. BTS still represent UNICEF and have donated money to many charities. Where are Tik Tok influences donateing millions of dollars? Just stick to your dance challenges unless you have the money to back up your demands.

Why on earth should they get involved in global issues. Being an idol doesn't make your opinion any more important than anyone elses. Personally I think they should keep their mouths shut because if they do speak out, they'll only be accused of hypocrisy, what with their millions and private jets.
