  • Listening Forest, created by artist Rafael Lozano-Hemmer, uses light, sound, and projections to create an interactive walk through the woods. This site-specific exhibition brings together eight immersive installations, each one activated by you: your heart rate, your body, your voice, and your movements direct the forest’s response. This project brings together art and technology in a natural setting to create poetic, shared experiences and features a soundtrack composed by electronic musician Scanner (Robin Rimbaud).
Add your heartbeat to an array of 3,000 lightbulbs each glimmering to the pulse of a different participant from the past. Control giant, 20-foot-tall stick figures made of light. Leave a voice recording that will join a chorus of echoes left by previous forest visitors, and much more.

Absolutely AMAZING! I love these engaging immersive Sound/Light/Nature Works. It brings so many curious people together in order to interact not only with the Art Works but also the Forests and natural Landscape.
How wonderful for you to be able to create such a variety of Sound Pieces and have them echoing throughout the Forest. Quite different from performing a Soundscape in front of an audience! This is an intriguing and thoughtful collaboration. I'm going to watch this video quite often!💡✨🌱

Ah, wow thanks Eleni. What generous words indeed. It's amazing to think that over 200,000 people will be experiencing this work of art too! Happy watching again 😊

Ah, thank you! Thermal Drift was intense, with a soundtrack to match. Listen to the full soundtrack here as it's very powerful on headphones or speakers!

That sounds and looks extraordinary. So beautiful. Is it a one off commission or will it tour?

I believe that the single works themselves will tour but I doubt as a whole unfortunately. This is something uniquely designed for the museum space!

Very beautiful. I have listened to some of the score tracks, so expansive and grand in scope but at the same time warm and introspective. I have to consider buying it if some money's left this month.
