You mentioned the impulse coupling. I did not see where you mentioned making sure that the impulse coupling had tripped prior to setting the timing.. I haven't worked on planes is a long time but do remember addressing that point.

Good point. It should have clicked before you come around to the timing mark, but it's worth remembering to listen for it. Thanks for the comment.

any chance you could do a video on replacing ignition cables?

Thanks for the series of shows. Spark plug gasket with the curved surface up or down?

The gaskets are flat where it counts, so either way is fine.

All recent ones I have received from ACS have a flat surface on one side and a slightly convex surface on the other surface. That is the reason for my asking the question. Help appreciated.@@KitplanesMagazine

@@n7gn Interesting. These are usually just stamped from a sheet of copper, and the stamping makes one side have a radiused edge. I just looked at my recent handful from Spruce and they did have this edge but the faces were pretty flat. Also don't forget this is soft material and it'll deform when the spark plug is torqued. Unless they look like a bellville washer (heavily dished both sides), I would not worry about it.
