One other piece of advice, I would give to beginners is to shoot several compositions of a single scene, e.g. portrait, landscape, WA lens, long focus lens, small aperture, large aperture etc. Then carefully study all the exposures and analyse which works best and why AND THEN DELETE THE REST.
