Terrific episode! Columbo just "happened"🤣 to have the confession typed in three copies in his pocket !!🤣😂🤣
The crimes are sloppy in this one, and the villain is not in any way sympathetic (as Columbo villains sometimes are), but Elizondo's performance is top-notch.
After serving his sentence, Hassan changed his name moved to Beverly Hills and became manager of the Regent Beverly Wilshire Hotel!
The way Columbo pulled the triplicate confession out of his pocket right on cue… Love it!!!😂
One big misconception about diplomatic immunity. It actually attaches to the country and not the person. Which means the home country can, and sometimes does, waive immunity.
Columbo was being carried out and he still slipped in his catch phrase.
Columbo was Great. Miss these times, miss the guy.😊
You don't even DARE to try and pull "ANYTHING " or "POLITICAL BS" over our Lt.
The title is misleading, he didn't walk free due to diplomatic immunity. This is like a "Hobson's Choice" episode. He could face to US justice system for the murder, but if he was somehow allowed to go free because he had a great lawyer, the Suarian king who appointed him in the first place would recall him home to stand trial for the murder he overhead him admitting to Columbo. Suppose he took that to a US court claiming the king was lying, who would they believe, him or the king?
Fun Fact: Jeff Goldblum manning the student picket line, outside the ligation.
That actor did such a great job of playing the bad guy.
Confess to murder rather than be taken back. 😂🤣
the odometer plays a part in more than one Columbo.

One of the best Colombo episodes!
A great episode!
loved this episode
one of my favorite episodes even though the last plot is fairly predictable, it's still well acted thanks to Hector Elizondo's Toady arrogant diplomat.
One of the best episodes
Great questions by Columbo, as usual...
