Honestly, I could have gone for longer but 6 months was a really good run! What’s the longest you’ve gone in between retwists?🤔
I make sure to implement a few things in the mean time in between time-
1. I ALWAYS pop my locs/separate my roots after every shampoo AND in between shampoos as well when I hydrate my roots & locs (which leads me to # 2👇🏾).
2. I hydrate 💦 my roots & locs regularly with rose water, a light leave-in condish & good quality oils so that I can reduce breakage where my new growth & locs meet.
3. Even though I style my locs for content purposes, I’m super low maintenance irl & I don’t typically wear my locs in extravagant styles. This helps to cut down on unnecessary tension & breakage.
4. I ALWAYS sleep with my locs covered & in a bonnet. You won’t 🙅🏾‍♀️ catch me without 1.
What do you do to keep your locs strong & healthy in between retwists?
