For Five’s teleport, Did you happen to use the same sound effect that’s used in the game ‘Portal’?? His teleport sounds so much like the portal gun noise!!

This is one of those times where I think your version of this effect looks way better than Umbrella Academy's version

Thing is, everyone does the ‘sink into teleport’ like a layer but nobody does the actual teleport rounding over the actor.
That’s really what sells the effect to me in the series; not just disappearing into the thing but the thing also flowing over the back of the head as he goes in. Like water.

the fart noise at @2:40 is the best representation of how I felt when I saw the effect in looper lol. To think, this is the same director that would make a Star Wars film with all its special effects and he did a lazy ass teleport lol

One thing I really like about your videos is you leave out a lot and what your saying doesn't always match what your video displays in terms of settings. It leaves a lot for your audience to figure out and through that I learn! Who can knock free, right??

5:42 now THAT is a throwback
When you removing the character (teleport out), the mask is set to subtract right.
But when I apply the bulge effect or any other mask, for some reason it is only being applied in the rotoed area. Even though I am doing it on an adjustment layer.

Hi Ryan, I am an aspiring Filmmaker and am only 14 at the time. I do get a lot of people saying that film will die out, I don’t think it ever will but I do getting scared that movie companies only care about reboots and lame sequels but what do you think Film/Cinema will be like in the next 10-20 years? How do you think the filmmakers that don’t want to make yet another reboot will make it? (Wow, that was long)
