  • Heya,
I didn't mean to upload this video so late but it is finally here.
I missed out soooooo much from this story to keep it short but feel free to ask me any questions. There weren't as many pictures as I would have liked to add but my phone broke a couple days before filming so I couldn't access them all :(
Thank you to everyone who messaged and commented on my previous eczema video and asked for updates.
If you haven't seen my first eczema video you can watch it here:

I had to chop this video out like crazy because it was so long so I'll do a separate video on skin brushing as well as creams and oils that have helped but in the meantime; if you would like to buy the skin brush I use, you can find it here:

Im 18 and i have had eczema for my whole life. When I was younger it used to be really good and now it has covered at least 80% of my skin and I have really low self esteem because of it. I always wear long sleeves and if I am wearing a vest top or short sleeve I always have a hoodie or coat and I never take it off. Watching this video has given me so much confidence. I always turn down traveling to hot countries because of what I would have to where and it has taken a really big toll on my life. I have always avoided relationships with boys because I'm afraid of them seeing my skin and it's been hard. But watching this has made me realise I'm not alone. So TO THANK YOU SO MUCH XX

ShadyBļeu Samuels I relate 100%, I’m 17 and I’ve also had it my whole life. My eczema was also quite good when I was younger, I practically had clear skin everywhere, but it’s gotten worse as I’ve grown and with that my confidence has gone out the window. I never wear short sleeves, I hate going to school everyday because I am so self conscious of people looking at me. It’s been hard :(

I relate to your stories, girls. I’m 20 years old, I’ve had eczema all over my body since I was 8. I’ve been through the wearing long sleeves, wearing scarves to cover the back of my neck, avoiding boys, all of that. Went from dermatologist to dermatologist. I still have eczema but I want to tell you that it gets better. Keep watching Joanne’s videos and implementing the practices. My confidence is higher than its ever been (despite still having the occasional flare up) and I have a boyfriend who has seen my skin. Don’t let this be thing to bring down your sense of self worth ❤️

Thank you so much for your encouraging stories and it’s an actual relief to know that I’m not alone. And I really want to gain confidence more than anything but it’s easier said than done. I only feel like myself when I go to my home country in the Caribbean and I’m able to feel the sun in my skin without a care. But I just feel like it’s never going to go away. Cos I’ve tried everything 🤷🏾‍♀️

Hey, I am 21 and been dealing with it all my life too. Im currently stopping my steroids so I can fully heal. Check out Zainab TSW journey. She's an Londoner whose journey has really helped me out and ive cried so many times because her content is so relatable. It was great seeing a black woman go through a journey like that like I am, when I was young I felt alone alot. I wish I had known about this community when I was younger. I wish y'all the best, it gets better🖤

I have suffered with eczema since I was a baby and I know exactly how you feel when it comes to it. My eczema has flared up the worst than ever and I’m getting all these scars and this video really hits home. I’m starting to get to the point where I don’t want to go out and see anyone I know or hangout with people.

    Hello Joanne,
Its almost uncanny how similar my story is to yours...from the hair loss to weight loss, the emotional mumble jumble, not wanting to do anything, peeling scales of my hair, taking forever to get up, mouldy room.....its almost like you are telling my experience.
I feel soooooo blessed to have found your Topical Withrawal video about a week ago! I am sure God led me to it and I cannot thank you enough for sharing your story.
I hopeful I can get some guidance from you as I am in a somewhat confused state.
I have sent a detailed message through your blog (I hope you get it). I will also send you a message on Instagram.
    God bless you!

I don't usually comment but I just wanted to thank you for being brave and sharing your story. I have watched a few of your videos and it's wonderful to see you happier on this journey. I really hope you heal soon! I don't have eczema myself so I do not know exactly what your are going through. The most I get is very dry skin especially on my hands which sometimes has tiny tears, and my lips get so dry they sometimes just start to bleed all by themselves which is awkward when you are in public and someone tells you that your lips are bleeding lol. Anyways, I just wanted to share what has helped me so far relieve the dry skin which is SUPERDRUG MY LITTLE STAR NIPPLE CREAM. The main ingredient is glycerine which honestly feels sticky but nothing has ever made my skin feel so supple and saved me from chronic ashiness. I have tried diet changes, oils upon oils upon oils, diy concoctions, even ran back to vaseline at one point.... anyways, its been one hell of a journey but I stumbled upon an amazing lady who told me to use bepanthen to heal my skin, and while that helped, it was too sticky and greasy so I went out on a whim and tried the Superdrug My Little Star New Mum Nipple Cream (used mainly at night, sometimes with bepanthen plus when I've picked on my skin and caused scabs). So far so good - just try it for a week, It's so inexpensive that if you hate it, you can just throw the tube away. If you like it and want something more natural, just buy and incorporate glycerine in your DIY products. Anyways, sorry for the essay - i just wanted to share what has helped me. Good luck and keep shining!!

I cannot believe that I am just seeing this video! I have been struggling with the same type of eczema since 2015 althought i have had very little eczema since i was young. Since 2015 i have had the flare ups and i have travelled everywhere and kept being prescribed steroid creams, tablets and as of 1 year ago i stopped and couldn't take it anymore. Its the most uncomfortable, life stagnating experience. Im finally on natural products and on a new diet. Im still on my journey and recently had a flare up and i feel like im almost back to where i was. Anyways thank you so much for sharing! I have been looking for someone i can relate to forever. You have made such a difference for me today! Bless💛

Thats a good way to look at it ,I to am a eczema sufferer ive dealt with infected eczema that covered a large sum of body in the past i had too take antibiotics along with a strong cream it helped a lot but even still my skin has never been the same every since i got a secondary infection, my skin breaks out in areas that it never use too. Having this skin condition makes me not enjoy being around people because of course there are a lot of ignorant people who dont know or understand the disease. When my skin breaks out really bad i too shut down a lot. Thanks too the internet i have realize over the years that im not the only one who have dealt with or who is dealing severe eczema. Wish everyone who is dealing with any kind of condition the best!💙

I saw, and I understood and I'm just grateful that you are coming back to your old self. I resonate so much with what you said and how you felt. I said to a friend just yesterday that you have no idea who is drawing courage and strength from you and your situation that causes you to cry in your secret place. You see yourself struggle and they see you fighting/succeeding. If it wasn't for you, last year would have been so dead for me towards the end...you were thinking of me even though you were sick...anyways, love you cuzzie....you were always beautiful and still are! #onlypengtingsinmycamp 💞💕

Omg same I have it all over my body
It’s red and scaly but if I moisturise it for like a week it turns black/grey
It gets worse by stress I’ve noticed as when I start crying cuz of my condition and cry for a few days my eczema flared up but as soon as I stop my prescribed cream it gets worse again. My first dermatologist appointment is in 2 weeks so hopefully my doc will help me but ik i need to change my diet cuz my bro is a doc and he says to change my diet.maybe cuz I’m a teenager I’m going through changes so I had eczema as a result of everything. I just really wanna feel beautiful again and I don’t wanna be feeling pain physically and emotionally anymore
I’m only 15 so it’s really hard for me as I had physical education in school where I had to wear a t shirt for uniform so my arms show but because I feel ugly and I don’t want everyone to question what’s wrong with me I wear a shirt underneath.
It’s on my face too but not that visible when it doesn’t flare up
I’m so thankful for u being here sharing ur experience cuz I don’t feel alone anymore❤️❤️❤️

I know how you feel, when you talk about being confidence & having eczema . It’s on my neck , my hands & fingers , arms etc . I can’t stand how it looks . I’ve used steroid cream, lotions etc nothing helped . I just kind of ran out of options and just gave up tbh

im so sorry to hear that. it takes a really long time to heal but u can get rid of it permanently by changing ur diet. cut out dairy meat and gluten first and then watch out for any other triggers. eat more fruit and veg. try as much as u can to keep fruits organic. i promise u it will heal itself❤️

    Hi Joanne,
I myself have eczema too and i chanced upon your video. Can i know how do you remove hyperpigmentation from the body? A few months back it was darker but it is lighter now. Any ways on how to lighten it and make it vanish completely?

    • @s.kintuition
      @s.kintuition  Před 4 lety +1

Heya! The hyperpignentation you are experiencing will slowly fade when your skin begins to heal so focus on that and the reat will go naturally

I also suffer with eczema & have since a new born. What I’ve found that has worked for me is a whipped butter that I make myself it includes:
      Shea Butter
      Coconut Oil
      Black castor oil
      Vitamin E oil
      Extra virgin olive oil
      Tea tree oil
      Cocoa butter
It is specific measurements you use when creating this bc some can be harmful if too much is used for ex. (Tea Tree). I use a hand mixer to properly mix & after a shower I pat dry and apply before bed. It has evened my skin tone very well. Lastly it was not used on my face.

I went through TSW it was bad. However, I found that I was highly allergic to wool. I had to stop wearing all wool, cashmere, or alpaca products and monitor all skin irritants i.e chemicals as best possible. Not saying this is the sole cause of your eczema but give it a try to see if it helps. In addition, I got rid of all parabens, phalates, and fragrance from all products that I put on my body. I use Avalon Organics therapy cream its thick last all day and does not contain any of the above things i want to avoid. I found avveno caused me problems and did not last all day. These are just friendly suggestions and advice. It took nearly 2 years for my skin to normalize and their is a significant difference in my skin appearance. I just refused to give in to returning to steroids and it paid off. I see you have the right attitude and I know you will prevail. Wising you the best. STAY COMMITTED!!

its so crazy that u said that because today i put on a wool jumper and the skin all over my neck went crazy. i cnt believe it tbh. ill have to watch what i put on my skin now in terms of clothes. i never noticed that before.! thank u !

Your welcome. I would have same reaction on my neck its crazy huh. I believe its the lanolin (in sheep's wool) and the rough texture in the others. Regardless of how soft its been processed i.e merino or cashmere. I have to stay completely away from it. :)

The darkness takes time. Focus on eating the best foods for the skin.
      avocado
      mangoes
      apples
      papaya
      It’ll get better in time!

yeah they are great. the hardest thing is going through the big flare up at the beginning (the healing crisis) which I'm going through now. im 3 weeks in and unsure how long it will last for :( but anyway, epsom salt baths with some oil (i use almond oil) and some sea salt and tea tree to help prevent it getting infected helps. i usually put tea tree oil on my face to prevent infection too as i was once hospitalised for a week because of a bad infection. i make a calendula and chamomile infused rose hip oil for my face too and use aloe vera gel from holland and barrett. if i'm honest it doesn't matter what i do, its uncomfortable. my skin decides when i can chill and not be itchy. im going to start my enemas and juicing next week! im currently eating vegan with no oil, sugar or alcohol. is your eczema really bad now?
