    This was literally the best thing I've ever seen regarding WebP-Imaes: Thank you for being so thorough and making it approachable for the whole WP-Community.
    keep up the work!

    Excellent information, thanks for sharing. Just added the plugin to my WP site. In the settings now only an AVIF option is showing, not a WebP one.

      You would want to have that unchecked for the plugin to generate WebP images in their current interface.

      @@wpbeginner yes, but the current interface doesn't make it clear that WebP is actually the default on the plugin. Which option would you choose now WebP or AVIF?

    Hi, I was reading that you should optimise and resize images before you download it to your website. I like this option beter, give me chance to limit unnecesery plugins. I wonder what is your arument and opininion?

    • @wpbeginner
      @wpbeginner  Před rokem +2

      That works too, Jual. But the process is manual. But, you'll definitely save on overall image size. However, as I mentioned in the video, the plugin auto-detects if the visitor's browser supports WebP and serves the right image automatically. Without the plugin, you'll use that specific functionality. Hope that helps.

    Sir when I upload images through the WordPress media library it shows the image. jpg-web and original dimensions but after uploading to the site the dimension changes to 1080x675 how I can fix this. My original dimensions are 1200x700. I use Litespeed cache to optimize

      The image size used in content is normally decided by your theme but if you are adding the image in the content of your site then the image block should have settings on the right-hand side to specify which image size you can use!

    Can i use jetpack image cdn and Cloudflare cdn together?

      Unless we hear otherwise, you should be able to. Jetpack has documentation on this below:

    Does Imagify show the non-webp images on a browser that doesn't support them?

    • @wpbeginner
      @wpbeginner  Před rokem +1

      The plugin should show users non-webp images to browsers that do not support them.

    What if I upload all the images in webp format? Do I still need a plugin like this?

    • @wpbeginner
      @wpbeginner  Před rokem +3

      Yes, you do. If a visitor visits your website using a browser that doesn't support WebP, a plugin like this can detect that and serve a compatible version.

      @@wpbeginner You mean that this plugin would create a backup JPG or PNG version for the WEBP files if I uploaded WEBP files first?

    You tried to hide your API key while logging in, but it is visible. Just to let you know.

      Thank you for that feedback, we'll see what we can do. For the time being you can change the playback speed using the cog/gear in the bottom-right of the video :)
