    Really glad to see Phil back where he belongs AC/DC.
    It was like Ringo Star not being in the Beatles. It was hard to take.

    When the video started and I heard that it was an interview, I was like, "ok, something aight right here!" I don't trust most interviews nowadays, so I scroll through the comments section before I watch it to see if the interview is good or not. I don't care what the haters say, I love the way Phil drums because it's unique and works for him!

    These were clearly the "meth" years for phil, glad to see he seems to have pulled himself out of the hole he got himself into. You only need to listen to old interviews with Malcolm to realise just how vital he is to ac dc's sound, the band isn't right without him!

    • @Joetime90
      @Joetime90 Před 3 lety +2

      He used to look so healthy, with a nice head of hair. Not used to seeing him this way but glad he made it back for Power Up. Nothing against Chris Slade who is a monster himself but familiarity is always preferred with bands like AC/DC.

      @@Joetime90 I agree, Phil used to look so much better in the late 90’s and early 2000’s. Now of course age has to do a big part but still, he could’ve kept his look better.

    AC/DC is slowly turning into a tribute band without Phil and Malcolm, they're a bit like a classic original car that have had nearly every part replaced with reproduction parts.

      Mate, I'm not trying to be a dickhead or anything but your argument about 19 members is irrelevant, most of those fellas were before 1975. They were still looking for the right mix.
      I never said they were a tribute band, all I said they are slowly turning into one.

    • @stevefoster5822
      @stevefoster5822 Před 8 lety

      2 members replaced is 40%, nearly half of the band members, of which was the same line up as Back in Black . If Angus and/or Brian and/or Cliff decide to retire and are replaced will you still be saying it's still AC/DC?

    • @stevefoster5822
      @stevefoster5822 Před 8 lety +6

      I disagree with you about when you don't think AC/DC when Phil Rudd is on drums. He has played drums on all but 4 of the studio albums. Angus and Malcolm have said in different interviews that he is the AC/DC sound and that the drummers replacing him couldn't get the same feel he had.

      Todd Lavigne that is possibly the most stupid childish comment I've ever read. Phil Rudd keeps it simple for sure, but that's because the music he plays demands timekeeping first and anything else second. And how do you know what else he can or can't do? What's your evidence? And if he does have the skills of say Copeland or Peart, can you imagine fancy clever drum stuff on any AC/DC track? It would be completely inappropriate. You say he holds his sticks like an "amateur". So what if he does? What's your point? As for calling him "lame". He's never used a click and gives absolute 100 percent effort in every live and studio performance. Nothing lame about that.
