@@kannusamyp6802 Guys Sony had designed in such a way that either you have to replace the complete display panel or you need to buy a new one. I had the same problem and since am a technician I was shocked with the components they have designed inside the TV. Its all use and throw. Simple math is they wanted to improve the sales by selling their new TV not to improve the service and earn less money

It's better to buy a non smart TV because a smart tv may hang in future like our smart phone. Even if we upgrade our soft ware we could not change hardware. But if we use an android box we can upgrade easily. So a TV is ultimately a display. So don't make or add complicate software additions with it. It can be done with small chromecast or Android boxes. And for company always go for Sony or Samsung or LG or panasonic for your primary TV for hassle free experience . They are time tested and service supported. For display go for full hd because if you even upscale a full hd content to 4k it not as good as real 4k content. More over 4k content even if available in future you need more space or huge data. Full hd definatly will be sufficient for a tv.

I really love your point about up scaling algorithm. if we decide 4K TV, best options are sony, samsung and LG only. because they are using in house made television processors and those are very good at up scaling any resolution content to 4K.

Anna I did approached many showrooms and I was shocked each showroom has different has different opinion since they showcase only the model which they get higher margin the rest of the model TV they customize the settings. When comes to services I owned a Sony branded TV and faced a problem. When connected with the customer service I was double shocked and the solution they gave me was to buy a new TV instead of repairing the old one.... What do you say?
