The TANK 8-Gallon has the capacity and PSI to simultaneously run (3) framing nailers or (4) siding nailers or (4) roofing nailers at the same rate of production as a traditional job site compressor. Finish crews can even run (5) 15Ga or 16Ga finish nailers. At 225 PSI and 5 CFM @ 90 PSI, THE TANK 8-Gallon rolls through the toughest job sites with the power and performance to get the job done!

These were really hard to get about 6 months ago...no one had them available...so I opted for the Kobalt 4.3 gallon with Queit Tech.. I'm happy with my purchase but I would have liked to have been able to snag one of those
Are you talking about this model or the pancake tank they made?
I work in mobile auto recon, we dye leather and do wheel repair etc. We beat the hell out of compressors using paint guns and grinders. Looking for something smaller that can run a grinder/sander for somewhat short intervals as well as a paint gun but still fit in the bed of a truck concealed my a bed cover This one seems like it may be a good option as far as specs. (I know it’s not intended for those tools, we have built an empire destroying porter cable pancakes). Any other compressors you would recommend?

Just wondering what the longevity is like. 225psi is going to put a strain on it and oil free designs just don't last as long on a working job site. Other than that, I like it.
This brand of air compressors is very much focused on pneumatic nailers. I think any 8 gal would be more than enough to run multiple roof nailers, framing nailers, etc and on down.
It's probably not adequate for impact wrenches or other pneumatic tools if that's what you're getting at.

How does the drain look? My issue with the same style DeWalt compressors was the drain wasn’t at the lowest part of the tank. Made it impossible to get all the water out at the end of the day. Is that drain at the lowest part of the tank?
Overall looks like a nice unit. When my 15 gallon DeWalt stand up dies that will probably be it’s replacement.
The drain is in the center of the long flat tube and in order for it to be at the bottom you have to lean it forward slightly when you drain it standing up. Not bad, but they could have done better.
@@WorkshopAddict Kind of a bummer. Wonder why manufacturers can’t put the drain at the lowest point when the compressor is sitting in the running position? Maybe it would be in danger of hitting the ground? Just frustrating when it freezes in the fall and it becomes impossible to drain the tank without it sitting in the shop overnight.
@@Mittencarpentry In this case, you have to pick up the compressor and put it in the standing position to reach the drain. Then a slight tip forward. I show it a bit later in the video. Not hard and not too bad.

Oil free. Yeah no. Jenny all the way or even the MAC5200 at the least. Cast iron and lube required.
Not good at all Not strong enough for two framing guns I just put my money to the garbage!!!
Metabo / Hitachi as a company suck don't try to get them to honor warrent
What did you try to warranty?
Been making lots of money with my Hitachi/Metabo HPT nailers, compressors and now 36V pro grade tools for entire career(25+yrs) warranty and service has been great and the lifetime warranty on the lithium ion cordless tools is best in industry
10 day turn around time with one cordless tool and 1 battery out of 50+ green tools those are the only ones that I have had to use warranty
Pnuematic nailers and compressors have never failed(25yrs running) industry standard for a long time

Wow in the first Hitachi kit I bought with 2 batteries and third extra all the batteries failed in 11 months when I contacted Lowe's they said to talk to Hitachi who said talk to Metabo who said talk to Lowe's you sound like the PR / sales dept for Metabo you make a lot of assumptions in write up but always remember the first three letters in assumption

Metabo HPT has warrantees 1 4.0/8.0 battery and the new 1/2 Impact and total turn around time was less than two weeks-thw battery was 8 days
Quickest turn around time I've ever had with any tool brand DeWalt is the absolute worst and we have had over 20 yellow tools have issues and only a handful of them ever got resolved with black and yellow
Also their free battery promos have been awesome and I e received them within a couple of weeks of process unlike Milwaukee who's promos took almost 3 months to get to me
Sounds like user error to me
Warranty process is pretty straight forward and customer service has been good for me
