It's so good to see you showing love to Russ man. He's a LEGEND in this league. It's so frustrating and sad even to see how disrespected he is. He's one of the 75 greatest players ever and he's treated like he hasn't done anything in this league. Makes me sick. It's ok to criticize but he's done enough in his career to not be disrespected and to not have folks forget what he has accomplished.

I Really Miss That Version of Russ
Man obviously he not the athlete he was during this time but he still is athletic but for some reason he is not finishing at the rim the way he use to. Missing a lot of layups and I really just think itâs all mental for him at this point. He really is trying his best to fit in but his joy for the game is gone. Itâs tough to play with bron everyone knows that. A lot of shots Russ use to make and make it look easy, he is missing now and the lakers fans and media have really shot his confidence in himself.

Look the playoff highlights he is back (he just dont fit with the lakers) everybody have his own playstyle and adjusting can be difficult... I used to play football before, changing teams can be tough when you dont fit their play

To be fair he lost his touch. On jumpshots and even layups that he would finish. We would still see the same struggles on another team. A change in scenery isnât going to bring his touch back. But it will definitely help his confidence. The games heâs confident in and goes right into his shot heâs still missing. And the misses are kind of harsh. Russ used to be able to hit the middy consistent enough to make teams guard up. I think what messed him up was not being able to hit the 3 ball last season. Towards the end of the season teams started leaving him open. That can fuck up any players mind and kill they confidence. If he went to another team they would leave him open too.
like the Rockets and Wizards? Post-KD Thunder? at best, he is guaranteed to choke the playoffs. at worst, he misses the playoffs.

Prime Russ was a different beast. Easily top 20 OAT my favorite player growing up he made me love basketball like no other player. The way he always played like his life was on the line was crazy. Seeing him average that triple double for the first time was everything

I love when russ attacks the rim as a laker but the only problem is he's missing layups consistently and if can't hit jumpers then all he can do is the Littles things to help the team. Like defense and hustle and bringing in energy or pushing the pace.

I ainât even going to sit here and act like he been balling. Russ has been playing horrible, but at the same time he isnât playing to his strengths. I do agree that he needs to take some accountability for his playing, but you gotta see both sides because he has lost all his confidence and hesitates a lot throughout the game. He just isnât in rhythm and wonât be until they speed up their gameplay a little bit more

He was making the same mistakes but they were overshadowed by his supreme athleticism which allowed him to dominate. Now that he's lost a step or 2, his mistakes are simply overshadowing the rest of his game that isn't dominant anymore.
