Just fyi Mindy, if you ever make a mistake on yupo just use the blending solution and wipe the panel clean. It allows you to start over. Alloys are beautiful but they dont always work.
What a cool technique. I haven’t seen this one before with alcohol inks. I love when the wax paper is put down and the inks just flow outwards. So fun. Both cards are beautiful.
oh my goodness right?! I almost didn't want to touch the wax paper because it was doing amazing things on its own! Tons of fun!

I have done ink smooshing with alcohol ink but not the way you did it. I LOVE the idea of using wax paper. I actually liked the one you didn't like on the first pass. The colors were more pastel and light!!! I think we are our own worst critics in our work. Thank you for the inspiration.

I wonder if you could do this with thin plastic packaging, then clean it with alcohol and reuse it. Seems like that might be a little more eco-friendly. Still a cool technique, & I love your results. If you really want to go wild, I would think you could lay a second piece of Yupo (rather than the wax paper) on top of the first after applying the inks, and smoosh with that. Almost like the faux monoprint technique. Would be interesting. Thanks for sharing. Take care, & have an awesome day! :)

I haven't seen this technique before. I think it was as good idea and one I will try. I'm glad you kept trying on the card with the gold addition. I thought it looked fine. The gold didn't really show and we can ALWAYS cover mistakes with something beautiful (lol)!!! You do a good job of explaining what you're doing. Here's wishing you good luck for the future. TFS

That looks like a really fun technique to do. Your cards are really lovely! Did you know that you can use alcohol to remove all the color on yupo paper so you can start over? It doesn’t get all the color but it gets it almost white again.

I'm curious to try it and see how the ink spreads if I use two cards squished together. Maybe I can get a two for one. ...Or if you dab the wax paper onto another card.

What did you treat the paper with first? Ive never seen the ink move like that without help.
with the green, blue and purple colors I didn't use anything first. I'm just working on Yupo paper
