Pokemon has released one of the best Anti Meta Decks as the first Level 2 Deluxe ex Battle Deck! Meowscarada ex has lots of potential in the current Standard Format, with it being able to put damage counters on weak Basic Pokemon and knocking out Charizard ex with Weakness!
These newest level decks (Level 2) are meant for players who are used to Pokemon TCG and ready to take the next step into Competitive Play! So it's time to add in some better cards to this deck to make it up to par with decks like Gardevoir ex and Charizard ex! Keep in mind, some of these cards may not be cheap, but we did try to keep this upgrade budget friendly!

Love Meowscarada. It's got a finesse to its plays style. I've tried the all main engines but think I'm happiest with Bidoof/Skwovet. I got inspired by Arvenzard bulds. I think your prof research line is also worth a good hit out and is super easy to acquire for newbs.
I love decks that revolve around setting up damage counters. I think Bibarel is definitely one of the best draw engines right now. Only takes 2 cards to set up.
This deck kinda reminds me of the Sableye V/obstagoon deck from sword & shield base, which was loads of fun to play.
I remember that Obstagoon being a bane on the ladder if you didn't tech for it. Lol!
In game 1, Zard decks didn’t run greninja but now they start too for late game counter sniping on the things Zard can’t OHKO. They ran Radiant Zard much more often
Yeah, they didn't set up fast enough and it caused them to lose.

Sir Joji I’m planning to build this deck or the Espathra still contemplating about what to buy but I’m still keeping Tinkaton that’s my number 1!!!
I like Espathra ex, but I haven't seen how it does against post rotation decks. I think Tinkaton is still in a good spot after rotation

What would be a good card to replace medicham since it s rotating soon ?
Honestly, the deck can run just fine without the card. It becomes more of a focus on using TM Devolution to get multiple KOs from damage counters

I like the idea, but you'd need to wait a whole turn to take KOs with Meowscarada. Remember, Tsareena sets it to 30 on attack, so you need to use the ability after.

running two pokemons that rely on rare candy is a bit difficult though, no?
Nope. Just look at Charizard ex and how well it does. Two is manageable, three is pushing it, four is insane.
Two rare candy mons is pretty standard now a days with all the powerful cards running around you can’t risk a two turn set up

Meowscarada will, but it's going to get new cards to replace some stuff. Stay tuned for an updated list!

Think of it this way, a lot of these cards will survive Rotation, so they'll last another year!
