When you love what you do, and, you do what you love, the most complex task it's easy!

You can also make a sphere and apply a texture with displacement map

Nice work bro. I think you should put more explanation in your steps. Not every step is understandable for people need to learn.

As always, it is very interesting and informative.
Only I did not get it - but why did you create the second sphere? To check the accuracy of the ball geometry?

    • @TutorialsUp

      Glad you liked.
because it was not perfectly round due to small and different quads flow on top and bottom. so I use a sphere to make it round as much as I can. as you can see at:
anyways it's a bit difficult to make a perfect sphere with subdivision mesh in SketchUp even you subdivide the cube. many other software has different option to fix this.
in my football video, I fixed this issue with Artisan's "Smooth Selection" option.

30Mo basket ball? It looks awesome bit I would like to see what a mesh reducer would do to it.

great tutorial. all extensions found. at around 3:04 to create the rounded top of the ball I can't get it to work. It stays flat when I pull it up. I can't see what else I need to do. Any hints?

      use Group not Component.
-(no Sub groups) Group should contain just faces and/or lines.
      or
Explode and regroup geometry and try again.
      Thanks

Hi, i tried everything perfect, but the action in the minute 5:40 had a problem, it seems like when the edge its deleted, the faces on the superior side have problem, and make same triangles and change the color to blue and red

not shure what happen, but anyway i just make that loop simply and dont twice with the control,
