Very nice Chris, seems like a great choice and an amazing truck
I own one, it is.
I would say 'The smart man's Cybertruck." And to think people and manufacturers used to say that no one wants or needs small pickups, now they cannot produce enough to satisfy demand. I always knew they were full of crap, the demand for small trucks has always been there.
Nice truck 👍
Nice truck brother
Awesome my friend. I'm looking for a small affordable pick up. I may consider this.
Nice looking truck. I like the smaller trucks. I used to have a Nissan Frontier but it got an average of 20 mpg overall so you are getting double that!
I had an 05 Frontier I remember that mileage…
I was planning on buying one of these until you couldn't buy them at MSRP. If Ford ever produces enough of them and dealers sell them at MSRP then I'd love a base hybrid as my next vehicle!
Indeed it’s very practical and a great value
I just received my 2024 XLT Hybrid 11 days ago.
The first week I had it was -5 to 18 degrees all week and got 32mpg the past few days it’s warmed up to the mid 30’s and have been getting 42mpg most days with a couple 46mpg trips. 15-30miles trips on average.
Only down side I wasn’t expecting is the slow acceleration from stop to 35mph in electric. Does not keep up with normal traffic acceleration and has to go into hybrid mode. It’s about half normal traffic acceleration, traffic pulls away and you have to get on it into hybrid mode to keep up.
I would think a hybrid would be designed to do an average/normal pull away keeping up with traffic through 35mph in all electric where most gas is consumed on acceleration.
I get the electric is helping but just surprised at how little full electric pull away power it has.
Still am loving the truck even tho
Definitely has its flaws. I’m down to 38mpg with temps now in the 30s/40s. Sport mode is more responsive if you want some power boost.
Hi, does your Maverick have Lane Centering? on the highway... can you take your hands off the wheel for a few seconds?
No I have the XLT with lane keeping assist, the wheel just shudders.
40mpg + $30k makes more sense Than $100k zero gas for us normal people! Can you force it to stay in electric mode? My errands never go over 40mph nor 20mi. (I live Norwalk you know well). So no reason for gas motor? Not phev but would it work?
I do most with my Lectric 2.0/panniers & have 1200 miles never having gone more than 10mi in any direction. Train, shop, restaurants, HDepot, etc.
Grew up there! They may do a PHEV one day if you believe the rumors. Cant force it but it goes into electric roughly 20-30% of the time on average.
Push button start will eventually fail and will cost you a pretty penny to fix. I've never, ever had to repair a key starter.
Really? Ive had 2 cars with push button and no issues. A key is so inconvenient.
@@ChrisCrossed How long did you have them? I am talking long term. That's how I keep my cars.
@@pedrofernandez8729 push to start is pretty reliable. Probably not as reliable as a key still but for what it's worth I have 2 older cars (a Lexus and an Acura) 16 and 14 years old with no issues. The keys need batteries maybe every 2ish years but it's an easy job
One is a 2011 Kia the other is 2015 Subaru. Still have them.
@@ChrisCrossed Good to know
I own a '23 Mav Lariat Hybrid and have NO desire to own a Tesla....of any type.
The Mav is so practical, I agree
Ford should end production of that POS Lighting and make more of these instead, it's what the people want. Ford has veered so far from what the founder intended that it is pathetic.
