    Thanks for this! I’ve found ProjectSam’s own explanations about these different versions and their differences to be a bit confusing - your explanation at the top cleared it right up!
    (Sorry about your ears)

      Yes, I told ProjectSam to fix my ears. It took a while, but in the end they were very helpful.
      Cheers!

    I've had this for some time and recently did the FREE update. I got this because I'm totally into the ethereal, Debussy, Ravel kind of stuff. You did a great overview.
    The best thing about Lumina is that it's really fun and there's nothing quite like it!

    Strings sound amazing right out of the box!

    Thank you for the review!
    If you've been waiting, like me, for years, it's 50 % off from 11- 28 march. As are the other Symphobia's.
    17:35 Fun fact. It is recorded in a church. Hence.
    25:13 In pretty much every normal mode you can slip the dimished chord and still have 6 great chords left. Plus borrowed ones. Yeah.

    Amazing work as always. I never buy anything without checking if you have done a review first. Thank you.
    Having said that - i spent 38 minutes thinking: ‘“I can’t believe he’s using Kontrol, but decided to display the top-plugin-section which is of zero interest, instead of the bottom keyboard-range-mapping which IS interesting and arguably important when evaluating library capability and quality.” Sry, i just had to get that off my chest. Beside that - very comprehensive and informative. Excellent in fact. :D

      Wait, I'm confused... you have zero interest in the GUI of the library you're watching a review of?? 🤔

      @@confuzen-su4oq ahh okay. Were you not talking about the GUI when you said “top part of the plugin”?

    Great Review. Only thing I wished is that you had shown the range of the instruments.

    • @SecondTierSound

      Thank you!
      Well, that would have taken too long I'm afraid. Most instruments are within realistic ranges. Performance ones vary a bit, but it has never been s problem for me. Nowadays most orchestral libraries have true ranges.

      @@SecondTierSound I just meant to show the keyboard withing the kontakt-view, that one on the lower side (if you switch the view on). ;-) There are some Instruments in Symphobia 2, for example the low Strings legato Patch (Basses and Cello) which is significantly smaller than in other libs. For example Metropolis Ark1 or Jeager. Would be nice to know if this is different in Lumina.

    I have mostly been using Eastwest Hollywood strings/brass/woodwinds stuff. Would you say this library can be used in combination with those libraires, or is the sound so different that it sounds odd combining them?

    • @SecondTierSound
      @SecondTierSound  Před rokem +2

      All libraries can be combined with other libraries. Eastwest is much more detailed and advanced than this library. Lumina is specifically good for quick fantasy sketching. Lumina is softer, eastwest much more epic. But with the right reverbs, and arranging, everything can be combined.

    Hi from Italy. A Question:If I want to insert only one Lumina instance in Daw Cubase...how can I insert 5 different sounds? How should I set the midi channels? example: Choirs: different tracks on Fantasy, Bell Tower, Celesta, etc....how can I insert tracks 1, 2 3, 4 etc....to differentiate my midi? Thank you

    • @SecondTierSound
      @SecondTierSound  Před rokem +1

      You have to have several luminas in order to do this I'm afraid. One sound per track if you want to control them individually. Otherwise you can have a multipatch.
