    Another good clear video.
    I'd liked to have seen the removal of those two black plastic fixings as they can be fiddly (and a stand under the car as well as the scissor jack, not just a wheel).
    Something I've found is that if the washer fluid is months old (or possibly the washer concentrate but I don't know) then you can get a snot-like translucent material floating in the bottle that can get to the washer jets and block them beyond pinning out, probably only apply to your £100 Micra in your fleet. But this might be like the intermittent fuse and intermittent new brake light bulb filament and only happen to me it seems.

      @CarSpyTV Those plastic things look like screws but they are infact plastic scivits which you just pull out. Ther usually a one time fit so you'll have to replace with a new one. They usually have a raw plug effect when pushing home😊

    Great video. I need to diagnose and fix why my wife’s washer jets aren’t working on her MK2 focus. I can hear the pump working but only the occasional dribble comes feebly out of the jets. Does anyone know if there might be a blocked filter or a build up of sludge in the bottle? I guess stripping it down and taking a look will answer that, just wondered if anyone had any experience of my problem too?

    • @CarSpyTV

      Thanks. Glad you like the video. As you suggest, there are a few potential causes such as blocked jets, blocked pipes, leaky pipes, weak pump, etc.

    Hi CarSpyTV , I have a 2008 Focus MK2 and Im wondering would you know a way to temporarily get rid of a dash light warning?. I recently failed my NCT(MOT in UK) for an ES Stability light being on the dash(the dash light of a pic of a car and skid marks behind it. Anyway brought it to mechanic thinking it may be the cluster needed to be re-solded but no the issue is its a ABS pump that has gone and needs to be replaced. He is trying without luck to find a second hand part in scrap yards etc rather than ordering a new one which could cost up to 1k. Anyway all I need to do is have the engine warning light off by the 9th Sept when I bring it back to the NCT centre(MOT) which would give it a pass it as its only a visual check needed. It would give us more time to source the part and pass the test if somehow I could make the light go away temporarily. Would you know of a way?. Funny thing is I haven't even asked him yet!. btw im driving it around in the meantime its safe he says.

    • @CarSpyTV
      @CarSpyTV  Před rokem +2

      You might be able to cancel the light with your mechanic's OBD2 scanner. However, it might come back on straight away. You'd have to try to find out. Good luck.

    Smart arse comment first;When you press the washer/wipe switch on the wand,if the wiper works,then the switch is ok.second dumb comment, I cant seem to get the filler spout to line up and reconnect with the tank,so when I fill with water,as it reaches the the spout point it leaks! Is there a way of wiggling the tank so it makes proper water tight connection with the spout,many thanks.

    • @CarSpyTV
      @CarSpyTV  Před 10 měsíci +1

      It’s tricky to know what’s going on without seeing the car in person. However, my thoughts are:
      1. Loosen the bolts so the tank can move slightly, then line up the filler pipe.
      2. See if there’s anything in the way that stops the tank (or filler pipe) sitting in the right spot.
      Also, I once had a leak from the filler pipe where it entered the tank. I added a thin layer of gaffer tape and that fixed it.
