Matt, have you considered going back through to see if you had played 2+ total bases for all of the dinger picks this season to see where you would stand in terms of units? With the metrics you use, if a guy is hitting the crap out of the ball and if a lot of these guys are missing homers due to a slightly lower launch angle etc., I am sure plenty of times they are getting doubles or blasting hard hit singles instead of getting the actual home run. It would be interesting to see how your track record would be in comparison to your slow start with HRs. Estimating what the 2+ bases price/juice would have been for the prior games would be the only challenge but quickly looking at the box scores and tallying doubles, triples, home runs, and multi-hit games would at least get a ballpark WIN/LOSS record for the targeted hitters you selected. ALSO, if these guys are smashing the ball, opposing pitchers/managers certainly are away if a batter has been doing so before the game starts. A separate tally on WALKS for those batters you targeted for dingers would also be interesting. Pitchers can eat up potential homer at bats pitching around the plate and trying to avoid challenging these guys any more than necessary. That obviously varies due to game flow and whether a game is close or not in the later innings. Intentional walks count too obviously. With all of the betting options, all of this is useful when deciding how to attack a slate of games Just some food for thought for your daily offerings. Best of luck today.
