God my heart bleeds for them. I'm team black but also can't deny that I understand both sides and can't truly hate the greens. Also this war could be so easily avoided and that's just heartbreaking.
That is why it is so tragic and why man lost the dragons.
That was absolutely beautifully done and the music was perfectly suited because it showed how rhaenyra and alicent were kind and loving together then cold and bitter
But so easily avoided until the Luke (luserys) was bitten by that huge dragon of Aemond
I'm team black and I don't understand both sides. Rhaenrya never did anything to the greens. Yet they stole her throne and murdered her son. All for what? Power. Disgusting.
@@StanleyMabonga You can’t view the world in such black and white mindset. Honestly I Don’t believe in the idea of good and evil. Of course that might be how Rhaenyra and the blacks see It but since we have the benefit of being the watcher and having an insight from both sides you can’t just say something so biased. Rhaenyra is the true heir to the iron throne there's no refusing that and Alicent knew that. She even tried to convince Otto that she’ll be a good queen and never wanted any of this. She never even truly wanted to become queen and marry Viserys in the first place. Later on her father managed to manipulate her into thinking she had no choice but to betray Rhaenyra and rebel her children against their half sister to put Aegon on the throne in order to protect their family. Remember the one prophecy of Haelena? ”Hand turns loom, spool of green, spool of black” hand is referring to Otto as he is hand of the king he was the one who really started this whole wheel of hatered between one family and divided them in two different sides. But is he the true villain in this story? We don’t know why he did what he did It probably might have been for power but no one knows what’s in his head and what he was planning to achieve. What we do know is that even he didn't want things to turn out as bad as they do later on. He even suggested to marry Rhaenyra to Aegon and personally I think this could’ve been the best solution to avoid all this. Viserys is also to blame but tbh no one is blameless. Rhaenyra wanted peace with the greens she considered surrendering as to not wanting to sit the throne no matter what and no matter the cost. She’s not power-hungry and would even be able to accept Aegon as king after a while. But then yes Lucerys was killed. And there you go again blaming the greens. Yes Aemond chased Lucerys but he never intended to kill him. I suggest you go back to the first episode to what Viserys told Rhaenyra about the ilusion that Targaryen’s control the dragons. They’re animals and just like every other animal they have their own behaviors and survival instincts. Arrax disobeyed Lucerys and attacked Vhagar out of fear. Vhagar being the much larger and much stronger dragon reacted instinctively with rage. It’s simple hierarchy Arrax had no right or authority to attack her and so she lashed out and got out of control.
Okay. This was incredible. Not only did you manage to connect every character to each other, you managed to tell the tale of tragedy without any of its more dramatic and bloody consequences. Just pure, heartwrenching grief and regret lined with a sliver of an idealised forgotten future.

Oh my god this is incredible, I cried immediately. Thank you for highlighting that Alicent did horrible things because she was being manipulated by her father, and that Viserys "ripped out all of Aemma's parts" for a misguided thought. Those facts are super overlooked by many people online, it seems, which really frustrates me because those first couple episodes are really the most traumatizing of them all, given the blatant abuses of women's rights. Otto and Viserys are absolutely the most responsible for the Dance of the Dragons.

This video goes to show how the human element is really the strongest point of this show. I was worried going into it that the dragons would be used for pure spectacle and the show would be mediocre. But not a single dragon was shown in this entire fan edit, no dragons but those in human form that go by the name Targaryen.
Oh my God, such a beautiful edit… You managed to capture the breakdown of the family into different camps. It was all orchestrated by a lack of communication between parties and a lack of focus and direction from Visarys. Very, very tragic indeed… But I think the situation is even worse because it was unavoidable. Even if Rhaenyra
and Alicent maintained a friendly relationship, I believe their supporters would have seen their children as a threat to the opposing side and killed them as a means of assisting the other party. Visarys made the biggest mistake by having children with Alicent. They created the biggest obstacle for Rhaenyra to overcome to truly obtain the title of heir to the throne and later Queen of Westeros in the eyes of the people.
I smile more when they show parts of the first moments of the show , i loved seeing Viserys healthy, i am going to miss him, there were ways to avoid war
Loved it. The music overwhelms the kings speech at the dinner table, but really nice connections and a wonderful reuse of Arcane's great finale track with Sting.

Amazing edit! The song fits the show very well. My only note for you that could've been improved was the peak drop 02:32. This drop is so powerful so it couldve switched to a new scene that is also powerful. Because the build up to it is perfect, with the announcing of the king. but the drop just falls flat since it continues the scene, but nothing really happens then its gone 3 seconds later.
Regardless, very well edited. The switches on the beats at the end as well, and the end itself is perfect, with his smile on "what could've been". It sums it up perfectly. The last supper is what could've been, but never was again.
I loved how he looked at his oldest child. He's doing it all for her.

What Could Have Been
The Targaryen were leech Lords, landlords of a foreign people. Refusing to interact or breed with them to keep their blood pressure from the comments. Jaehaerys the conciliator was the first true ruler of a people and not some landlord with a dragon.
I blame Otto Hightower. He planted the seeds for revolt the night he sent Alicent to Visery's room.

If Rhaenys was truly team black the show would've ended in episode 9.. she will regret that for the rest of her life.. maybe like indicated in the books she survives and the crisp corpse is just like her son a fake and she can live a happy end in exile with her family... maybe even preparing those eggs for Daenerys..
