So first I thought this was "listener does not understand what a protection racket is." Wrong! Then I thought it was "listener *does* understand what a protection racket is!" It wasn't that either... So uh now I'm listening to it again to pay more attention to the rest of the audio 🙃
In retrospect this does explain why speaker is so amused and incredulous at the listener's problem. The fact that listener is a clueless innocent is adorable, and I'm glad for speaker that they took the reveal well. Golden age identity shenanigans ahoy!
Bonus points for never using the term "outfit" or "firm" btw. I admit to mild curiosity about the proverbial 0.1% of business, but tbh that's cleaner than a lot of allegedly aboveboard companies... so listener is doing pretty well in a romantic interest here regardless! 😂

Listener used 'Fall'. It was super effective! Ooooh, strong boss guy is strong~ that's why listener's being extra clingy 🤭. Ooooh, someone's gonna be in troouuble. Geez, listener's terrible at hiding their feelings... it's kinda funny. Oooff, the confidence exuding from this guy though 💛! Huh, this ended up being a confession of a different kind, still like that he's (mostly) coming clean before getting involved with listener. Transparency, we love to see it 👍! I stan this couple.
This was so cute! Loved this character and the way he handled this situation. The development of this was good too.
