- Ride this real life re-creation of The Knott's Berry Farm Calico Mine Train Ride at Knott's Berry Farm in Orange County California. A dark ride type of ride that takes you to the underworld of the early days where mining was widely used throughout the world.
This is not an exact replica of the ride, but I built is as close as I could. The game that I built it in is called PLANET COASTER. The narration and sound are from the actual ride.

A veeeerry good Construction highest quality I had ever seen. But personally I miss a big escalation with a big drop.

I can’t even imagine how many hours this took. Your attention to detail is fantastic and you captured the ride almost completely perfect. Which makes it the best recreation I have ever seen. Truly amazing.

Pretty cool version! Lots of awesome detail, especially the limestone cavern. Understand it has a recorded spiel now. When I had the pleasure of working on it in 2009 we did it all over the mic! 😀
This is the ride I "remember" from my youth- that idyllic place where everything was grander, shinier, more thrilling and had unlimited potential. Thanks for the great ride!!!

Excellent recreation! It really does put you in there. Hoping to see an updated version with a bit more outer environment and maybe matching the line queue even more - Heck, I'd even love to see the KNOTTS SCARY FARM version! Great job!

Best damn ride I've ever seen
Amazing, you did it justice
It's been a very long time since I rode this attraction, but this was perfectly done. A bit bigger in the large mining areas than the real one, but still accurate nonetheless. Love that either you or someone else recorded the whole thing to make it feel like you were there. I would have cleaned away the hiss and occasional audio pop from it though for better clarity. Noticed a flub in the stalactite cavern. You forgot stalagmites under those above, which is a must since one creates the other. Even the audio mentions the stalags, so I'm surprised you missed that feature during building. Also, at 4:57, the audio says, "Now that's what I call teamwork. They don't call them 'man's best friend' for nothing'", yet no dog is seen in the set piece, unless you had it on the right side of view, where you weren't looking. The whole ride was amazingly well crafted, as I would expect from a Tommy build. You should do more re-creations like this.
Whoah, how did I miss this one from you? Okay, here we go....ha After I uploaded the video and the views went surprisingly flying, I watched and watched my video and thought how much bigger it was to the actual ride so I went back to the game and made everything smaller and added more detail to the front of the ride, just like at Knott's. I updated the ride on STEAM but never re-uploaded a new video. People seemed to be happy with the exception of a few who knew the ride well and commented on the size of it. I could of cleaned up the sound, but wasn't even thinking of it at the time. I added many many more stalagmites also it that section, theres actually some in the video, but now there are many more. The dog part, yep, theres no pup there. At the time there were no theme makers tool kit dogs and I couldn't make one out of shapes, so I didn't add one. NOW, on a side note, may I ask your name, age and what you do for a living? You intrigue me, your comments and attention to detail is outstanding. I appreciate your accurate and honest comments that you give. You mention the highlights of everything and give great comments and suggestions of parts of the rides that could be made different . I like that in you, so thats why I am curious of what you do that makes you so good at your critiques. You don't need to tell me everything, but just wanted to ask yah....Thanks as always for your continued support!

This is awesome! I don’t know how this game works, I am going to have my son download it because we have Steam. But I was wondering if you could do the Dinosaur Ride from Knotts 💔. I still miss that ride! Or maybe I could do it, that would be crazy. I imagine this took a lot of time, regardless of how great the game is. So many details, it’s so well planned out. I’m just absolutely loving this.
This is really just so enjoyable to watch. I’ve seen some excellent coasters online. There’s a Minecraft Beetlejuice coaster that captures the movie so well. But this, this feels like I’m on the ride. And the way you added the audio. It’s seriously beautiful. Thank you for sharing this!

Hey Braden, I had problems with my drop box about a year ago and lost a bunch of folders. Unfortunately I don't have that file anymore...sorry about that.. I was so bummed, I had tons of files for a bunch of my other rides also .
