Matt, I get the impression getting out to fish in the ocean is much more difficult for you than it had been in the past. If that’s the case I especially thank you for your efforts to post content from the ocean! Great crab and scallop fishing!
My brother recently passed last week, me and him loved fishing since we were kids and we always watched you, I find it comforting watching you wishing my brother was here, he loved your videos so much, thank you
Matt, I spent many enjoyable hours building my own crab snares in my cabin near Cascade, Idaho last winter. I was rewarded for my efforts this October when I took two of my grandsons to a jetty on the Oregon Coast and we were able to bring home 18 beautiful Dungeness Crab. Thanks for the inspiration and guidance.
Nice. Sad seeing urchin barrens everywhere now. Not a single abalone in sight when 10 years ago they were stacked on top of each other almost everywhere.
I’ve always been such a big fan of u for such a long time man. I don’t fish myself, but u make it seem so rewarding and enjoyable. Maybe one of these days I’ll go out and get my own gear but after all these years watching you I think I might enjoy your content more💀💀
One huge crab after another is a good day. I can't belief the carpet of sea urchins. There's no algae left on the rocks. I'm looking at the website and I have to get a travel rod. Thank you Matts.
Hi from mike A. From LA.CA. THANKS for the video. Thanks for the tips on crabing. And man looks like hard work finding scallops. And thanks again for filimng David that guy is great I remember hom on a lot of your other videos fishing on the rocks.
Hi Matt's, really enjoying your videos, I can almost taste them scallops yum them crabs are gunna b good eats ! And purchased a jacket , keep up the good videos...
i like to see you do the dive and crab snare.. definitely first of a kind.. if in doubt, only fisherman's life will do it.. still remember you bringing the float tube to the ocean..
Last weekend I used my 4000 at jetty cuz went there in between river fishing and all I had. I could barely tell in and lift 18” lings and even big bar surf perch fabexme trouble w 50 lb braid lol. Bigger the better I like the penn persuit series cuz you can get a lot of pull for like 70 bucks
Man these are the videos I love to see please keep them coming but next time you should add a catch n cook to it. That was my favorite from your videos when I go fishing I always take my cooking stuff just in case I land one but love your videos man hopefully I get an opportunity to fish with you sometime I stay out here In Sacramento
Good video brother! You're making want to give crabbing a try. Im more inland near the sequioas (559) i fresh water fish mostly. But im definitely willing to take a 3 hr drive to the coast to crab.
Just my opinion not a pro. When you rent a boat here in Oregon bays all the buckets they send you out with have holes to drain water. I always do really well crabbing so I bring an extra bucket for the crabs ( usually have one to two pearls with me limit is 12 per). I’ve found even with switching water out crabs gold better and live longer with no water unless oxygenated! No joke. Blows my mind but they will breath up all the oxygen quickly out of stagnant water and can breath better from open air. Last four five years been doing this and the crab will lve 6 plus hrs but will die in a bucket in like hour in a half or two or so .. maybe try it out on a vid. ! I’d happy to be wrong and saw you used a bubbler in your last video. I want one cuz I like to go to the bay for crab then fish on the way home as I work inland and sometimes those are long days! Thanks
Thanks for the content Matt’s. I know it’s a good 3 hour drive(maybe longer) from where are now, so it’s good to see you back out on the shore line living that Fisherman’s Life.
@@MisterCee41510 if you want to crab or fish, Google maps is a great resource. There are spots from Mendocino coast all the way down to Monterey. I don’t want to discourage you from fishing but instead encourage you to find spots for yourself because it’s so much more satisfying to find “your spot” and catch a keeper or something you never caught before.
Thanks for showcasing the travel rods, I ended up catching a rock crab off a line and hook by letting it soak too long. Put it back in the water as I just wanted some greenlings, was kinda wondering how consistently I could potentially use as a back up crab rod if nothing else was biting.
Yo Matt, did you produce the beat too?😂😂😂 Had me jammin while cooking breakfast this morning before heading out to the Bay for some Crab/Striper🤙🏾 Happy Sunday everyone!
Crabs burn through breathable water very fast. It's better to keep them in a dry bucket and splash them every hour or two in water than keep them soaking like that.
Went to Pacifica pier, had a good day, got 6 keepers but wouldn’t recommend a 4000 size reel. I used my penn fierce 4000 crabbing and just doesn’t have enough power, would recommend a 6000 or higher.
Matt I don’t have an eardrum. Doc says I can’t get anything but shower water in my ear. Anything you ever heard that’s out there that someone could use to keep the water out? I’m super frustrated! Great job on getting those dungies up! Go to see you made it off the ranch!

The dude has moved into the mountain side. I think it's a 2+ hour drive for him to reach shoreline for fishing/crabbing.
More like 5 hours plus drive for him to the dive spot.
My brother recently passed last week, me and him loved fishing since we were kids and we always watched you, I find it comforting watching you wishing my brother was here, he loved your videos so much, thank you
- Awe I'm sorry for your loss.
I'm so very sorry for your loss 😢. My younger sister died a year ago...it hurts.

Ocean view are my favorite content of yours! Thanks!
Back to the future, always love the old fashioned videos
So awesome! Nice crabs and scallops. The view was amazing.
The scallops are so different than the ones on the East Coast! We just pick up ours off the bottom, they don’t stick to rocks.
Let's go!!! Always a great day when Fisherman's Life uploads!
Man those purple urchins are really crazy invasive. They’re everywhere
man i wish you will bring back the diving seasons! i love those videos!
Loving all the new uploads!!!
Damn I was getting that tingly feeling when you were walking along the edge 😂
The ending is actually the best part. Watch til the end - no click bait
Fisherman’s life back on the rocks, I love it
I have missed your videos! I appreciate your choice to farm, imagine your heart must yearn for the water. All the best to you and your family.
Great job Matt and great video as always,,,

Love your vids!!
Awesome job. And that 1 Scallop was killer.
It's about time you had another video
So cool! been following for years, keep it up.
Man I thought my BG 4000 would be too small for crabbing but you made it look easy using one, great video Mr Life!
It is lol! I use that size for steelhead! Hope tou got strong forearms and no tides to fight!

Yeah I have a backbay, it wasnt happy but it works lol.

Great video Mat, you should check your microphone because the audio comes out stronger on the left side!
thanks Matt!
Where's this at? I went to ocean beach last week n the waves were too strong. Only manage to catch 4 😅
You Sir, are a legend!
Fishing and get a dive in!!! The perfect day.
Where did you go fishing in this video
good to see you back
Love the dive videos !
Point to point means the tip to tip. Wardens catch you with some of these and it’s over.
Stay safe fisherman

Ordered my jacket a few days ago. Can’t wait to wear it.

I love my pack rod but I’d love one in light and another in heavy so I can have one for any occasion. ✌️
Thanks for the content Matt’s. I know it’s a good 3 hour drive(maybe longer) from where are now, so it’s good to see you back out on the shore line living that Fisherman’s Life.

Hi Matt, thanks for the video. One question how do you know it is sandy bottom, as the shore is full of rock?
7:18 lmao
9:45 this is better than a bag of rice moving around
Wasn't expecting crab asmr.
Still waiting for a Cuban yoyo hand line video . I bet you'd be good at it
That discount code though! Lmao igotcrabs hahaha anyways do you still have the boat Matts? I love the content

Does anyone know if you can catch dungeoness crabs in SoCal? Seems like all the crab snaring videos are all in NorCal
Look at all that uni!
I think in SoCal we're not allowed to use crab snares but just curious, are there dungeness crabs off our shores?
Socal dungeness crab season delayed til December 21
@@EggplantHarmesan Can you somehow go after them from shore?
I go to redondo beach pier. 🤫
@@miguelgallegos8491 Can you use crab snares on a fishing pole?

It should be:
Should I stay or should I stay more.
