I love how, even though they are playing a game where the object is to be sneaky, James apologises every time Richard realises that the heater's on. If you listen carefully, you can hear him mutter a little "Sorry" each time. He's gentlemanly even when he's being a child. Bless.

Top Gear is definitely not about cars (well maybe just a bit), but it's more about the chemistry between these 3 geezers. I wouldn't mind watching them host an advert trying to sell me a frying pan or an egg whisk. You can't script chemistry.
which is why top gear is doomed without those 3. You watch your first episode for the cars... then watch the rest of the 22 seasons for the comedy.

Although clarkson is the one who adds the spice to top gear, I wish may and Hammond had done more stuff together like this because they cooperate a lot more
May and Hammond's interactions were honestly the most entertaining to me. Clarkson was ok, but he could be pretty annoying.
There's some stuff on drivetribe with them drinking and building Lego or drinking an playing chess... There's a pattern there I suppose

i used to play the heated seats game with my father in law, it was infrequent enough that
a he never realized till his arse was on fire and
b it never got old lol
I actually played this game with a friend and I found it way more advantageous to be in the driver seat because: 1. it's much more natural that you press buttons and 2. you also have a certain sense of hierarchy where the passenger obeys every stupid order you give (like pointing to the side airbag and making the other look ahaha)

I love Richard James and Jeramy they were such a brilliant trio and they are still fantastic now on the grand tour and sometimes even if they do things like this when there’s only 2 of them they are still incredibly funny 😂

Living just over a field from the M6 here in the north west, I always used to love these films knowing that they’d been past my house only a few hundred yards away.

This is why I’m glad my heated seats have their controls on the doors where they can only be touched by the seat occupants themselves.

Fifth Gear was Top Gear. After the BBC made changes to the original Top Gear by sacking it, Clarkson went on to do the new Top Gear, and thus 5th Gear was born from the ashes of that transition. I find the information about vehicles that Top Gear UK features to be fine, as they aren't one's most people cannot afford anyway, except I did by a Porsche Boxter and
a BMW based on what Top Gear UK mentioned, and they're humor to me is fantastic, which is the show's biggest attraction in my humble opinion.
arkansaswookie Totally agree, many people go on about how poor top gear is at car reviews which utter nonsense as its aimed at petrol heads. I can't get enough of the amazing cars they showcase. Top Gear don't seriously advertise themselves as giving out consumer advice so why should people get angry when they don't do serious features on cheap cars!
Exactly! Well said. I tell those that complain to do their research through Consumer Reports in regards to cheap car information. My god could you imagine how boring the show would be if they constantly delved into reviews of cheap cars? Cheap cars aren't performance oriented. Granted they touch on affordable performance quite often, but I'm totally with you on not getting enough of those amazing machines that they do showcase. Particularly Aston Martin.
