- In today's video we made a mistake... We brought some heifers in to early from the field ready for calving. So we have sent them back out, sorted to beef cattle out for the Share farming and then got a feild finished for the slurry!
Oh i jumped on the BBC Breakfast couch as well

Cows are looking really good, just shows how much care and attention they get, am also sure the interaction they have with everyone also makes them happier. The shared farming scheme looks like its really taking off, hope its all that you wanted. 👍

Guess it depends whether it’s a farm wife or city wife. Some farm families let everyone know when they’ve calved and what the child’s name is. 😂. It’s just humour of the hard working farmers. ❤❤
I've jokingly asked a friend when "the heifer is going to freshen" whilst signaling towards her baby belly. The thought it was funny. Her mother, not so much.

Hey Tom, something is up with your mic! The audio isn’t crisp and hasn’t been the last few vids…makes for hard listening!
The heifers are looking good! As you said, a nice sheen on their coats. The Dieci telehandler sort of reminds me of Luke. A hard worker that quietly gets on with the job and does it well, but doesn't attract attention to itself unnecessarily. If my memory serves me correctly, the long-term trial is coming to an end soon and I'm pretty sure that as soon as it is gone, that you will miss more than you probably imagine you will. It will be interesting to hear your opinions on it when it goes back and whether the size was a good fit for your farm or not.

Great vid as always. I was down last week late on. And the milkshake machine was empty. And your dad was on the job replenishing the milk. We also helped him get the container into the shed. Had a good nag and filled our bottles. If someone had filled the spare container during the day it wouldn't have been an issue. But we then wouldnt have seen your pops who is looking well by the way. Quick question. Raw or pasteurized??
for cleaning that patch, you could consider donkeys or goats, they do a pretty good job on things like this.

Toms cows are so friendly… is it because they are interacting with people from the birth in the barn, and are kept in groups too?… here in US calfs are kept in outside individual tiny plastic cells and they are incredibly skittish …. And when they are grown they are skittish and really mean too… I used to live in 90s where many dairy farms were, and I’ve observed those trades in cows… maybe 20% of those dairy farms are exist in that area now though…. But the way calfs are kept and cows demeanours have not changed…

Have you ever thought of using a cattle dog like they do in OZ. Bigger and a bit slower than a sheep dog but heaps quicker than your two legged variety.
I have noticed over many videos that Luke is the go to man for reversing into awkward spots. Is that his "super skill?"

@@menko22 it’s a new GoPro. Have the settings to high and it was picking to much up. Like the mic thought it was in a quiet place but it’s on a noise farm. So it was blowing it out abit 🤦♂️
