Founded in September 2004, the Hungarian-Chinese bilingual school located in Budapest is the only full-time school in Central and Eastern Europe that teaches in Chinese as well as in the local language. Currently, the school has 12 grades and 20 classes with more than 530 students attending. China and Hungary are celebrating the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties. The Hungarian-Chinese bilingual school has been a vessel of friendship that bridges the language gap between the two nations. Our reporter Cen Ziyuan spoke to the students from the school about their studies at home and in China. #ChinaEurope2024

The enthusiasm of learning a foreign language is applaudable! It is one way to bridge the gap of two distinct cultures.
More so friendships could be built on. It's sad to say that the press out west have forgotten the principle of journalism and become the mouthpiece of innuendos! We have to put extra efforts to know the truth, the best source is from its people. Knowing the language, one could communicate to the locals....

Unfortunately, we cannot hear much of the original Mandarin spoken by these Hungarian students. Much of these ladies' voice was obliterated by the English vocal translation. It's much preferred if the translation could be in subtitles (written) rather than spoken.
