Good review on some of the things that should have been addressed at the factory, I bought a 2024 Canyon Denali in March of this year and really enjoy the quality and responsive power of the motor. That being said, the rear window not being automatic is a bummer ( for that price) and like you mentioned no physical buttons for the lights, that take some getting used to. Bottom line I really like the design and feel of this truck. Thanks
Had a 23, the roof caved in going through the car wash dryer, other than that I loved it. Took it back and got a 24. No roof problem because it has a sun roof but it’s a lot louder during acceleration and a knocking noise in the rear when pulling into driveway and parking lots.
I get that noise as well. I think it’s just the body and/or suspension flexing
@@Desertsandworm …. My 23 didn’t do it at all. I did some research and it’s garbage insulators GM puts on the leaf springs, it’s across their truck line up. Once in a while people get lucky and it doesn’t do it. My 17 Canyon did it as well. There is a fix ! Look up “Spring Thing” every review said they fixed the problem. I just got mine but haven’t installed them yet $45
Yes! Same with mine! I just bought a 2024 Canyon Denali and the lack of HomeLink burns me! Also no front parking assist is crazy! To me the shifter is on the wrong side too. The passenger doesn't need it on their side. Finally the phone charger is junk and many people complain about it. I plan on making a similar video. They can't please everyone, but they need to listen to the common complaints and fix them!
If they see enough complaints about every one having the same issues they’ll fix them.
@@Desertsandworm Yep, I complained about the phone charger on GM's CZcams channel and a GM rep got ahold of me and the dealer is going to look at the issue. Not sure what "looking" at it will do, they need to replace it with a better one!
enjoyed your video and one thing I wish I had on my AT4 was ability to have rain sensing wipers . Agree thoroughly that homelink should be at least an option.
Yes!!! Rain sensing wipers are a must!
I am 6' tall and wear size 11 shoes, and I haven't noticed the issue of having my boots hit the brake when I'm trying to press the gas pedal. I bought a 2024 Canyon AT4 with the technology plus package and it still didn't come with HomeLink because, as you said, there's no option for that on any Canyon or Colorado trim level. I watched a lot of videos and knew that was going to be missing before I bought the truck, though, so I had already put the after market HomeLink mirror in the budget and ordered it before I even picked up the truck. Even though I've dealt with it now, it's still annoying that I had to spend that much extra on top of the >$50k price on the truck.
I think there should at least be an option for a two speed transfer case like an X31 package for the Canyon Elevation.
FYI... I'm a big "fog light" guy too. But... the stock lights on this truck suck... and (not sure if u know) when you turn them on.... your front LEDs dim. Which also sux.
I agree with you on the back seat folding down. All the other stuff really not a big deal. But one thing you missed was an automatic rear sliding window that would of been nice to have.
I thought about that after I finished editing the video.
@@Desertsandworm but I'm still loving my truck. None of these things are deal breakers. My 2 main things were vents in the back for my kids and 1500+ payload. I'm happy!
Can you send a link where you had modified the arm rest into a compartment thanks
It is in the description it’s titled “extra console storage”
I’m 2500 miles in on a 24 Trail Boss. I went with that because of the lack of 4L on the Elevation. I probably won’t need it in the foreseeable but I wanted it.
I don’t have a garage and I haven’t had an issue either the pedal space. The lack of fold down back seats is very frustrating. It a deal breaker but I too wanted a space for my dog to chill. Seat cover it is. The sticker damn sure says 60/40 fold down but it didn’t specify that it’s just the bottom.
Not being able to truly customize the display other than the gauge style is disappointing. Not 30 min before I saw this I thought just as you, I don’t need to see what gear I’m in on the cluster.
Great truck, I agree with the back seat and also should have a power rear window.
You can change your dash, it’s actually very customizable IMO.
It is, but there are certain things I was able to do with my mustang I wish I could do with this. Or even the vw Taos I have has a few more options.
For the comparison with Trail Boss, it misses out in a lot if features to give you the core offroading goodies while still being cheaper than elevation
are you sure the rear seats don't fold down? there are little pull tabs by the head rests on mine that release them
I’m 100% sure. The do not fold down, I tried.
@@Desertsandworm that's crazy they work fine in my Canyon
Agree on fog lights a also
Agree on the back seat
Nice truck....i just traded for a 2018 colorado with 30,400 miles on it...1 owner...like new...its the base model like i wanted with the 6 speed manual trans...love it.
Nice! I chose the elevation (canyon base) for something simpler. The only option it has is the trailer package and the auto climate control.
Wish the new ones came with a manual or even manual mode in automatic 😢
I needed the opener to get into my parents place and I was also disappointed. Otheron facebook page made me sound like a tool for wanting that
Also clean those mats !!!!
Totally agree about the fog lights. Burying the on/off control in the infotainment system is the dumbest thing I ever seen!
Having them in the screen doesn’t bother me, but having to turn them on every time I get in the truck sucks.
I agree with the built in garage door opener. The rear seat- if they were removable would be better. Fog light- I agree with you.
