- In this episode of the Nurgle Diaries series, I make 7 unique daemon princes to spread papa Nurgle's pestilence all over the world. I use different kitbashing, sculpting and molding and casting techniques to achieve this.

Maybe for your fantasy mortals, they could be the biggest fans of the circus, they could have a mutated and corrupted villager vibe and be more swamp themed, creating a matching synergy with the toads. That or just stage hands and beast tamers

You could do a bird theme like the how old Warriors of Chaos lore stated that Nurgle was “The Crow” to them. Vultures, Crows, Pigeons, any birds associated with rot, carrion, or filth. Could be a cool inversion of how they’re often associated with Tzeentch.

Apparently, there's a lesser Chaos god associated with crows in Age of Sigmar, called The Great Gatherer. The Corvus Cabal from Age of Sigmar: Warcry worship it by stealing shinies and other trophies of their sneaky _murders,_ and leaving them on trees.

Chimera! Like from the carnivals, they have like the “Freak show” where they’d show off like the 2 headed cow, or like the infamous “Baja Mermaid!”
What if the theme for the mortals is that they are like the stage hands for the carnival, working behind the scenes to make sure the performers can spread Nurgle's joy. Alternatively you could have them as trappers and hunters, capturing the beasts of Nurgle for the carnival.
How about chimeras as a theme for your army? You could mix all sorts of animals to get a strange demon horde.
This would be a beautiful thing to see. He could go to the dollar store to get toy animals to use as starts if he felt like playing with kitbashing, sculpting, and then molding again.

I'm not even doing anything mini-hobby-related (quit Warhammer about 9 years ago) but this has been my favorite channel for almost a year. Your creativity, your way of experimenting, "cheating" and doing what you actually find entertaining inspires me A LOT as a music producer. I'm also putting less pressure on myself nowadays. Here's an idea for a theme: The Slithering Ones! It turns out, these things are all scavengers and decomposers, Nurgle's favorite! Snakes, snails, slugs, centipedes, serpents, worms! Maybe some maggots/flies and catterpillars/butterflies for airborne units?

Perhaps the mortals follow and worship huge, mutated, almost-undead beasts that Nurgle has infested. They see them as living avatars of his will, meandering across the Chaos Wastes to bring plague and ruin to some distant settlement or kingdom. The pox spreads where Nurgle wills it, and these beasts seem to know where that is. Do they actually? Who knows! But these tribes are dead-set on following them.
Also, does anybody know where the tombstone face piece is from? And what that giant lizard body was? All of these are rad as hell!

@@Miscast That was a placeholder comment, as I was watching 3DBotMaker Diecast Rally Racing at the time; but I was so excited to see a new Miscast video that I just commented :D Those Daemon Princes are wonderfully wonky and hilariously weird. The grips on the Lost & Found Clippers are nicely battered and atmospheric.
You could do a theme that contributes more to the life that comes from rot like mushrooms and plants growing out of dead things

Theme ideas: to match the carnival theme perhaps food vendors, carnival rides (old, modern, or pure fantasy), something from the tent of oddities. i.e. Carnival beyond the big top.

Well I mean since it's a human army with the nurgle army what about 682 from SCP it is a giant spine the lizard and it has that necrotic feeling to it.

How about an insect theme, but not just insects, but insects with plants on them? A giant stag beetle, with some wierd tree on it, where the roots cracked, penetrated the body and growing trough it? Spiders with mushrooms on the back? Ants with dionaea leaves instead of mandibles? Small insects with blossoms?

I think if it would really be cool to lean into the pestilence and decay theme for your new army. I bet there would be some good opportunities for sculpting sagging skin / protruding bones / soulless faces on some beasties. Maybe figure out a way to have a cool looking swarm of files?? Either way, love your work so much. Great combination of miniature painting and super creative art!

What about for your new nurgle army it could be based on resurrected beasts of decay and you could include your three eyed toad and make beast of nurgle out of slugs and spiders with the general idea being that these terrifying monsters were brought back to life with a little of Ol papas power and they have come for vengeance

Absolutely wild. Gotta share more of this stuff on Patreon - we'd love to see the works in progress! As for a Nurgle theme...well, I want to make a Tzeentch army using fungus/mushrooms as a theme. You may steal that idea if you so wish. :P Alternatively, maybe an ink monster theme, kind of like Bendy? Or go full Uzumaki and go with spirals, although I think that might be more Tzeentchy and less Nurgle-y...just throwing out ideas for ya!
