The orbs can only spawn in 2 patterns, and there are only 2 sets of orb placement for each pattern. You only need to look at one specific orb to know what the entire grid looks like. For the pillar special, you can start moving to the first pillar and hovering your mouse over the second, that way you only need to memorize the last 3. I have each pillar numbered using labels/tile markers which helps remember the order. You can also take a screenshot and paste it into paint; that might be what he did since it's the only time his cursor leaves the client.

Only other mechanic that doesn’t seem obvious to me is how to predict whether leviathan is going to do the rocks or the lightning, some vid said you can predict it based on where rocks land after the first cycle but I couldn’t tell the difference.

Most of the dt2 bosses calculate the damage when the projectile makes contact with your player instead of when it's "launched" from the boss. That's probably why it looks like he's late but is actually tick perfect.
How would you rank them in terms of difficulty? Leviathan definitely seems the hardest due to the enrage phase, followed closely by Whisperer. Vardorvis and Duke after them is how it feels.

How do you memorize the whisperer special attacks so fast? Is there a plug-in? That can’t be humanly possible.
