I see BRICS as a good thing going forward. These smaller countries can join and pool their resources insuring that the U.S. can’t take advantage and bully them into doing things that are against their own self-interests. It was inevitable that an organization like BRICS would develop going forward just by the simple laws of physics; for every action, there’s a reaction. Having Russia and China in BRICS is a good thing to insure fair play and give these smaller countries a leg up going forward. The global community will benefit from BRICS and that helps even out the playing field.
All the BRICS meetings end up with resolutions , development agreements, non aggression treaties and smiles. There are no threats, no unwarranted accusations and no disrespect

I feel like pulling together they will progress the world into the future of technology. As long as no one can control everything and it is fair to everyone, some good ideas can change the world for the better.
Selecting new members is critically important.... Although it is an economic group, BRICS has to consider political implications when selecting new members. With the current emerging multipolar political world, there will no doubt be countries who are purposely designed to have interests, but that may turn to become future spoilers, if selected.
No more wars its as simple as that.

The trouble with these extra countries is the wide differences of economic strength, combined with the differences of economic strength of its existing members.
For parity, some common commodities would need to be matched in value to each other.
If you weren't using gold, but say cocoa, wheat, silver or cobalt, value of one commodity to match another would very very subjective.
In my view, commodities would need to be valued in gold by agreement with the importer and the gold credited to the exporter, who get credited with gold on delivery of the commodity.
Over time each country would accumilate gold reserves that are added to their existing gold reserves.
Eventually a gold backed digital medium of exchange could be issued from the Central bank to facilitate trading settlements, where ONLY additional gold deposits could increase the issuance of more gold backed digital currency.
What I like from BRICS from Pretoria, South Africa, is what I have not heard about pros of BRICS is what i am going to say now, namely, BRICS atays away from wasteful and deadly militarism and military blockism; especially for Africa.
I think it will make the world more dangerous actually. Especially if the US is backed into a corner economically and has nothing to lose. Or are people forgetting it has over 5,000 active nuclear weapons?

S. Korea, like Japan, is a de facto colony of the US. How can you do business with a country's leader who sang for his dinner at the WH? Remember Yoon's rendition of "America Pie"? They have to consult their master at the WH and seek his permission every time before they attend any BRICS meeting and make decisions.
