CANADA INVEST IN A YOUTH LEAGUE AND HIRE TOP CERTIFIED LEVEL COACHES. The current OPDL youth league ruiins soccer in Canada because it is too expensive to afford. Only unatheletic kids who can afford the $4000 per year price tag make the team. Most of the talented kids are developed in lesser quality leagues where they are not noticed because they can only play in specific areas of their Canadian region.. Hence why Canadian soccer is weak and we cannot compete at a high level.
We now have won Gold in the Olympics! I dunno, It seems Canada focuses a lot on Ice Hockey and sports that are more popular in Canada. I think that maybe things will change now because we won Gold and Girls and Boys will be motivated and have role models.
