For some reason this is the best video I’ve seen showing the true look of the new root beer GMT. Not sure if it’s the lighting or the camera but this new GMT is just stunning. Great work!
Jeremy Nelson I am glad you liked the video. I’m just a hobbyist and nee to youtube. No special camera is used. I’m using my iPhone Xs plus. The lighting is from my kitchen’s spotlights but turned to the watch from multiple sides. I love the way the copper bezel and the rose gold plays off of each other. Rolex did well on this combo.

I could not let this watch pass me by. I think if it stays in the line up, we'll see the jubilee and perhaps the brown dial which would be great but for me this is perfect. Elegant but still masculine and sporty. Cool casual, man of leisure style.
May I congratulate you on an excellent presentation. I have this watch. Having put down my name with several AD’s ( I already own an 80’s root beer) I became disillusioned so accessed one from a dealer in London. It was the best decision I have made as the beautiful watch has been on my wrist for a year and I still haven’t heard a peep from any of the AD’s. An additional bonus is that it has increased in value. It is an outstanding piece of kit.

Best Looking Rolex Professional model. The poor SS models next to it look very common and pedestrian compared to the everose GMT. Rolex got everything right from the everose gold to the color of the bezel. My goodness is the everose gold classier looking than standard yellow 18k. Game changer as nothing else looks like it out there. The watch speaks for itself.
Couldn't have said it better myself. The other Rolexes look like kids toys compared to the Root Beer Everrose GMT. What a watch. Even the Daytona looks shit next to it. My next watch if I'm lucky to own one.

My AD was very good to me in 2018. They seem to be totally dried out now. She hasn't got any of the 3 remaining watches i want in 6 months. I'm still waiting for the white dial Daytona, the new Pepsi and the James Cameron Sea Dweller . She seemed to be getting much more SS watches last year around this time.or maybe they don't like me any more. who knows.

Own it. Love it. As far as GMTs go, I own the Pepsi jubilee as well and I'm getting the Batman next. I love GMTs...but my Sea-Dweller 43mm "Red Line" is my favorite. 1:17 One exception to the box rule that I know of...the Sea-Dweller Deepsea comes in the medium box even though it is stainless steel. I own the 2018 Deepsea James Cameron. I love it but it mostly sits in the box for now. Update: purchase a second Pepsi jubilee, two Batmen, and a Hulk since I posted that comment. I also noticed that you have the stainless steel ceramic Daytona with a black dial. I have it as well and I'm now working on getting the white dial version, as well as a SS Sky-Dweller with the blue dial. I won't pay over market and I like things coming direct from the dealer regardless, so I only purchased from an AD.
Great video thank you. One question if I may, how did the CHNR feel on the wrist weight wise compared to the BLNR, is the CHNR heavier or about the same, if heavier does it affect the wearability? Nice collection of watches.
Hi Martin Yes the CHNR is heavier than the all stainless steel GMTs The weight difference is noticeable but not in a significant way. Not in way that it would Interfere with the wearing pleasure. In the contrary it actually feels very good because the weight feels very center mass and not like you wearing a “bigger” watch. If you enjoy a SS Rolex GMT then you would enjoy wearing the CHNR even more.
Great watch, the Root Beer is so classy I love the rose gold. Being a 40 mm might make this a future vintage keeper. Best size for an average wrist this might make it a hard watch to find if they start making larger cases on the GMT’s.

Thank you very much. I’m glad that you enjoyed it. That brown on the bezel is very subdue and not in your face. The numbers on the bezel are rose gold in color versus platinum so that is also another step into blending/muting the contrast between the brown and black bezel colors. I am not a friend of the brown color but this watch works very very well. It’s impressive yet not in your face like most yellow gold two tones. In one word I would describe it as elegant.
Not all stainless steel pieces get the small box - Sea Dweller 50th Anniversary (SD43) gets a medium & Sea Dweller Deep Sea (126660) gets a large. The extra large boxes you refer to are reserved for high end precious metal pieces such as president Day Dates & platinum GMT etc.
Thank you for chiming in . The Mark1 dial 2017 Sea-Dweller 50th anniversary came with a small box . The next year mid 2018 the MK2 came with medium boxes. In 2019 Rolex stopped all small boxes and now the all SS get medium . You are right about the Deepsea SeaDweller. They were getting a large box from the get go.
Looking backwards I have to say that I got lucky to have the right relationship with that AD as well as being a multi times customer with them . There is no real reasoning other than personal relationship with the person that owned that store.
Nursultan That is a very good question. There is no real reason to have so many Rolex GMTs. I just love the submariner and the GMT lines. As far as the two 16710 goes. One with holes case that is with a permanent Coke bezel now( no box and papers ). I use that as my beater and love it. The other is a no holes case full box and papers. That is a Pepsi dial and is in a mint condition. The BLNR and LN is too similar and I will sell the LN in the near future. The rose gold has a very different look and feel and my wife has been enjoying it as her watch nowadays. I am in the market for the new BLRO with a jubilee so even if I get rid of the LN i will still have too many GMTs but I love them all.

It’s nothing against you. This is the new Rolex reality. They will not take your money anymore. lol I know that all the new professional models are not readily or easily available. I believe that since this is a two tone rolesor model maybe they can order one for you. I know they can’t order any SS professional models.

Yes beri. Two things. Added cost that becomes more than certain amount of people are willing or can spend and fashion. The Two Tone watches are out of favor because is not in fashion. The reason that they do not hold their value is directly related to the demand of the TT. I believe that Rolex makes some incredibly beautiful TT version and this one is a great example. The ever rose gold and stainless steal is a great combo and the colors work really well. This watch is changing many people’s minds about TT watches.
Sorry to have to tell you, but yes you're being snubbed by the retailer. They only sell to non-flippers, and mostly big dogs, I'm talking billionaires or major players in the game. You are nobody. They wouldn't even piss on you if you were on fire. That's Rolex for you, been hating on us normal folk for decades and it will only get worse.
I had the privilege to see the current Pepsi side by side with the rootbeer. It's kind if of like the Me2 Movement vrs Joe Biden. There is no question that the rootbeer takes the crown; it's not even close. If you aspire to be the manly man that you are inside; the rootbeer simply accentuates whatever manly attributes you're bringing to the game and does so in the best of ways. It's respectful, powerful, and cannot be questioned. Nobody questions the Manliness of Sean Connery, Robert Deniro, or Robert Redford. They certainly will NOT be questioning you when they see this on your wrist!
