- I recently bought a DC power supply ( Revolectrix Power Station ) for use with my Cellpro Powerlab 8 ( aka pl8 ). I just wanted to make a quick video to point out one of the cases where a DC Power Supply isn't practical. Watch for details.

Can i use 48v power supply with this charger?
Perhaps a dumb question here, but why would you need a power supply for discharge? Wouldn't you want to connect a load of some sort to the battery or the powerlab for the purpose of discharging?
You could just use a 12v bulb, but then you’d have to watch it carefully to prevent over discharge.
@@createthisdotcom alternatively, could you connect an inverter and run an AC load (because it is easier to find a large load AC), to perform the discharge cycle?
Yes, definitely. You just have to watch the voltage because most 12v inverters have a low voltage cutoff that is designed for lead acid, not lifepo4.
@@createthisdotcom Ahhh yes that's true, my inverter is programmable but will have to check how low it can go.
@@createthisdotcom As a power supply, does it have to be a constant voltage supply or can it use multi stage battery charger?
The link to the power station doesn't work
