When Julien Wanders is not in Kenya, he trains mainly in St. Moritz. The exceptional Swiss runner feels more comfortable in the Engadine than in Geneva: «Being surrounded by nature, forests, lakes, I find ideal training conditions here.»
We visited the WINFORCE athlete before the World Championships in Doha where he will run both, the 5000 m and 10 000 m. On this occasion we also spoke to his mother, a musician: «Music is like that: If you want to be good, you have to work for it. You have to be strong mentally, you have to participate in contests, you need a lot. So I think that Julien has inherited a bit from all that.»
