24th Annual Parade of Lights (2015 Recap)

Thank you to everyone who participated and visited this year’s Parade of Lights! An estimated 20,000 people attended the holiday festival on Saturday, December 5, 2015, which included a multitude of free landside events along The Wharf, including: the first snowfall of the holiday season; lighting of the Gangplank Marina Christmas Tree; photos with Santa Claus; holiday music; a roaring s’mores fire pit; gingerbread cooking decorating; holiday sailboat making; a hot chocolate toast to the season; the illumination of vessels docked at Gangplank Marina and the Capital Yacht Club. The evening concluded with a water-filled salute to DC Fireboat John Glenn.
