As child of the 70s I expect every lake, river, and body of water to contain barbed wire ,old fridges, spikes, sharp metal and the grim reaper standing on the bank pointing
Seeing the car emerge out of the gloom at 11:48 brought back memories for me, once I seen the wheel I knew for definite it was an Audi 80 Sport, then the badges on the boot confirmed it, I drove one in 1988, thanks for the very interesting video.

My late friend was an ex Naval diver but worked latterly for the Oil & Gas industry he and his team in the early 1990s were sent out to examine an area of seabed mid way between the west coast of Norway and the north east coast of Scotland and they found an entire battered Mercedes mini Bus sitting on a sea ledge the rumour was it was being used by the military and dumped for some under sea test, not sure if there was any truth in that story, but my friend always said the North sea is full of surprises some things down there you never want to know about and somethings he was told never to talk about.
The border hole at leysmill close to me was full of cars and scrap, shame it got filled in as on a nice day the water was very clear and it was beautiful.

I’m pretty sure that was a Disney boat mercury built for Disney land.! Those are very sought after in any condition. Would’ve had a 9hp mercury motor. Very fun boats.

Was this intentionally flooded? Or did the company running the quarry have some mishap and it flooded that way? Also, what country? I'm seeing non American license plates, and have no idea where they're from. Interesting video overall.
@@justincooper5189 The company went out of business in the early 80s, the site closed down. The quarried area filled with rain water over the years to the level you see now. Yeah this area is in Scotland, UK. Great that you found it interesting, thanks for watching. 👍
@@michakaikarsten7331 It used to be so hard to catch people dumping stuff, now there is a locked gate to the site and cctv the dumping has stopped, but the trash is still there underwater.

I’ve lifted lots of junk out previously, as have other divers in the past. The blue bin you see at 14.30 in the vid was filled by myself, along with the rest of the crap around it. Using this area to collect it all in one place then lift it out at some point. The cars will need air bagged to the surface and towed out. Thanks for watching, more vids like this to follow. 👍

Did a dvla check, tax was due 1st April 2005 so guessing this ones been in there since 2004
