Without these great plays id be lost at night in bed when i cant sleep with pain , and most of the time they take it away and i fall asleep,,thank you
Settling down under the covers, in bed, getting ready to listen to another intriguing play by Peter Whalley. 🎉😊
A 'powerrful drama'; it's an 'art form' all to itself, the radio drama!!! Moreso than the visual image from a 'live' stage, or, screen performance, the the actors have to convey with their voices the characters and this comes across well here! Peter Whalley has done a first-rate job in writing this one. An "art-form" all in itself, not to be underestimated!!!
With his clever plots and well considered scripts, Peter Whaley is a superb writer for audio media. Each of his characters has their own distinctive
Thank you so much, haven't bothered with my tv since finding these dramas, I can do my crocheting while listening and without having to look up,much appreciated
Same with me and the knitting!!! X
Same with me. Multitasking
Me too!!! Sewing!!
As the saying goes, the pictures are so much better on the radio. Very true!
Me neither, they are addictive 😀
I go to bed. Pick these up and listen instead of v watching. Love my nights in bed listening. Thank you.
Radio drama is bliss. Thankyou
What a wonderful play… It took me back to the 1960s when I hitchhiked all over Europe
Bet you wouldn’t want to do that now 😂
I loved every minute of this, a big thank you to all involved.
Love these thrillers
Very solid performance. The flashback scenes were a great touch. BRAVO!
Very good play. Thoroughly enjoyed. Peter Whalley never disappoints.
Peter whalley was amazing writer , I've loved all of his plays on here
Thank you :)
Great listen, kept me guessing.
Love it!!!
Wonderful play with great actors, I look forward to reading more of Peter Whaley’s writings.
Fascinating play, gripped from start to finish. Thank you for sharing this.
I did enjoy this. It kept me guessing as to what the eventual outcome would be. Thanks for posting "Arch".
Good one!
Peter Whalley writes some good stuff . He's very prolific.
Yeah ur right he was very prolific and what a lot of people don't no is that he wrote over 600 episodes of Coronation Street and some very famous episodes with Hilda Ogden and I think Pat Phoenix he passed away from Cancer in 2012 or thereabouts? Stay safe, these dramas keep me quite sane while furloughed.
Yes I liked this. They have grit...almost smell the tarmac in this one. Love the overlays and effects, bends and twist at the end(!)
Should have seen that coming, the body in the boot!
But I didn't - which shows how good Peter's writing is.
@michaelclark5732 well done telling people like myself that. Look at the comments to see do people like but you had to give the ending away gobshit
Oh bother!!....reading comments whilst listening...and now I find a spoiler that I wasn't expecting..😕
Sometimes you don't know what the day unfolds,,!! I'm happy with a quiet day listening to good radio plays thanks

Why do some feel the need to spoil the ending?
Great story!! Thank you !
Excellent. Thank you Arch.
Most enjoyable. A good listen in the early hours
Great listening 👍. Thank you for uploading.
Really good I thoroughly enjoyed this play.
“Each has their own distinctive mode of speech” I was going to say, before my overly eager finger buggered it up.
Lol. I've done that. You can also edit your post if you want- just click on the 3 vertical dots on the right hand side near the top of your comment. 😊

Really good.
An intriguing drama but the ending was rather abrupt. I wish some people wouldn't spoil the ending for the rest of us.
Nice 👍
Excellence,
I like it
😝
Never saw that coming...
She's going to con him instead of him coaching her. !!!.
The next thing he's gonna stop at the Mac machine and give her money !!! Then she will continue. It. Then say you don't do it I will say you attacked me !!!!
THATS WHY NEVER EVER PICK UP A GIRL. !!!!!!!!!!
Shegonna play him like a card. I've seen it so many times before
!! I feel bad for him
That was an odd one.
Is that car in the pic a Hillman Minx ?
Ford Anglia 105e.......
Good story but I guessed the ending midway through.
He gave her the money anyway lol
Did not see that coming.
Da iawn, diolch yn fawr 👍☑️
👍
I've listened to a few of these by the same writer, and central to all the plots is the same theme...infidelity...
sadly radio4 xtra is being axed
Who?
Bit weird for me
horrible music, sound effects too loud, but a good play!
Thank you 😊
