The small town is home to a number of businesses, including a a few restaurants, Tractor Supply, and outdoor adventure store, the grocery store is about 15 minutes outside of town. There are also a number of things to do in this rural setting away from the hustle and bustle of the DC Metro Suburbs. There are community events, the C&O Canal Trail is 10 minutes away, the congressional polo club is 5minutes away. The Marc Train is just outside of town taking you to Union Station in Washington DC. 20 minute's drive to Germantown or 25 minute's drive to Rockville for tons of shopping and restaurants.     Poolesville is not a 40min train ride to downtown DC. It’s at least 1hr 15min

    I live in a QUIET place and have high speed internet and DO NOT live in a Home Owner's Association. I LIVE THE REAL LIFE IN Poolesville MD.

    Maybe. But again i dont like traffic and its likely too expensive loud. I want nobody within 1000 feet and land isnt cheap around there. Plus my kids will never go to a public school

      I live in Poolesville and it's NOT THAT BAD. Maybe you'll be better in coal county WV.

      NO traffic in Poolesville, White's Ferry is CLOSED.
